That's not surprising. Romance literature has always been hugely popular. Look at the bookshelves in a supermarket and you'll see maybe a half-dozen SF/fantasy titles at most, but whole shelves full of romance titles. I know a used-book store where SF/fantasy fills the back wall of the store but romance takes up nearly half the store overall.
^Chris, sometimes it seems no matter what a person remarks, you've always got a comment about why it's really not so remarkable at all.It really becomes quite irritating to feel the need to justify every little offhand comment made.

I know Jeff Lang's Fantastic Four novel is out, but I can't find that one anywhere.![]()
It's even in Sydney! I have mine.
No 'making of' book on the feature listed. I remember publisher's weekly had a nice one-page ad for all the trek books months ahead of TMP's release, and of course anybody who read STARLOG knew about the non-fic books months before release as well.
Kinda makes me wish S&S would sublicense somebody to do the nonfic stuff.
Therin of Andor said:"Starlog" gave up on movie mags after ST IV...
Therin of Andor said:Are you sure? I thought I had a Starlog movie mag for Star Trek VI way back in the day. I remember it well because it spoiled Valeris' role in the movie. It might not have been put out by Starlog but I was almost sure it was.
I think you'll find the annoying SPOILER caption belonged to the "Cinefantastique" spread.

but yeah, they did do a few more after ST IV. Mine are in the garage since I moved house. Haven't touched them in ages, which is very annoying.

Starlog did "movie mags" at least up to Generations, along with the premieres of DS9 and Voyager. I don't recall if they did anything for First Contact and beyond.

Titan I believe did a magazine for First Contact, not sure if they did or not for Insurrection and as for Nemesis, I'm positive they didn't.
They did indeed release one for Insurrection. No separate magazine was produced for Nemesis, but there was a supplement along those lines included in Star Trek Monthly issue 100.Starlog did "movie mags" at least up to Generations, along with the premieres of DS9 and Voyager. Hopefully the 80,000 words of the novel live up to the first three.I'm looking forward to Losing the Peace though. I am attempting to judge the book by its title in this case.
