In Blink of an Eye, the Doc mentions that he had a child, the Doc is made from photons and forcefields. When he is asked how, he just sidesteps the issue, did the writers reach a bit to far on the Doc having kids???

Well I've read they're trying to make same sex couples have thier own biological children (that is, not through a surrogate or doner etc.) so by the 24th century who knows what civilization will be capable of haha!

I think he just adopted a biological child; he was probably being coy about it, because he wasn't supposed to fraternize with the locals. I love BoaE.

Thats probably the best answer, I thought he would just have said adopted or step. Instead he just sidesteps the question, which led me to think that they did indeed have the Doc having his own kids.
