Avatars...

My avatar is either...

A.) Self explanitory.
--OR--
B.) Inexplicable.

If you aren't in category "A" at this point, then you never will be.

Mine's always a version of this Calvin:

I like Sisko. That's pretty much it... though I chose the one I use here from one of my favourite Sisko moments - and use another elsewhere with a rifle over his shoulder from Rocks and Shoals.

For some reason I refuse to use a plain static promo type shot..

my avatar is usually Max Payne from Max Payne 2, but temporarily it's Liberty Prime in the Brotherhood of Steel citadel

T'was the best one ;)

What about the part where "time stands still when you're drifting?" It reminded me of the Ba'ku planet.

Is a movie... they have these things called "cinematic effects" to enhance the storytelling.

Well, in this case, these "cinematic effects" were so laughable, along with the actors trying to be so serious, that the movie was essentially over for me at this scene.

Let me think. What is the connection all my avs have?

Does it maybe have something to do with my username or something I really really want?

Or is it just a random google search.

I'll never tell.

you guys get mine, right? "Silicon Avatar". TNG episode.

And the white graphic at the lower left hand corner of the avatar is supposed to be a graphic representation of a silicon molecule in TNG fashion. The font is Swiss 911 UCm BT

Me? Not a very interesting story. I love Disneyworld. Epcot is my favorite park. Man! In print, that is even more dull than I thought!

Hey, I love Epcot too. Not boring!

All my avs are "me" translated to various sf/f scenes (Mirror Universe, Borg, Jabba's lair), or general (hippie, cowgirl) sometimes with special guest characters that I particularly like, like John Shephard, Data, Bender or Sylar. "Temis the Andorian" is the one I use for winter, though the antennae animation is too simple at this point. I'll add it it at some point.

Where do you get your graphics from? I like your avatars--they're very recognizable as belonging to you, but you still change it up from time to time.

My avatar doesn't really have much of a story. I've stopped watching Doctor Who now, but I think "Blink" was one of the last eps I watched and I thought it was terrifying and awesome. I like having a pic of a weeping angel up, ready just in case anyone blinks. And Doctor Who references aside, I just like how it looks. Sad but pretty.

:vulcan: Perhaps a FAIL for spatial awareness but I'm not seeing it. Do you mean a Silicon atom, or a diamond cubic crystal structure?

I had a static avatar of the Enterprise going to warp in Trek-XI because it looked cool. Then Spiff was nice enough to make me an animated one, though it looks suspiciously like the Enterprise is forever penetrating the ass end of space.

That's an awesome flying whale in your avatar, 2 of 10.

atom, molecule, same diff to me. Just using my imagination without the aid if the interweb.

Mine is just a animated loop of Alexander Anderson from the Hellsing Utlimate anime, one of my favourite series. Before that I think I had one based on Chris Carter's Millennium series logo
