Simon and Schuster cuts 35 jobs

The ones I know of:

CSI
4400
Blizzard Games (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo)
Resident Evil
WWE
assorted movie novelizations and other tie-ins to those properties (I'm sure this is a large category, incorporating all manner of one-off tie-in projects)

Not sure on the current status of Marvel, but I think it's done.

I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones I can recall off the top of my head.

Don't Pocket do the Whedonverse stuff as well?

^ That would be covered under "I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones I can recall off the top of my head." :D

^ I think I remember Keith saying somewhere that his CSI:NY book was the last in that series. Don't know about Miami, though.

I wonder if we could make a case for novels-only versions of CSI series? I call dibs on CSI: Panama City and/or CSI: Lake Havasu!

How about CSI: DC, where the politicians and the crooks stab you in the back?

I'll miss my CSI franchise novel fixes

^^Or you could do a multiverse crossover of book-only series: CSI:SCE!

Crisis on Infinite CSIs...

This reminds me of that Family Guy joke about the new Law and Order spinoff -- Law and Order: Petty Crimes Against Municipal Property in Excess of $50,000.

The Marvel license is done, and the CSI: Miami and CSI: NY licenses are also done -- Jeff Mariotte's was the last of the former, and mine the last of the latter.

However, Pocket has other deals floating around as well, some of which cannot be spoken of....

Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! :scream:

That is too bad. I enjoyed Krad's CSI:NY book. I went out and got another one because of it.

I'm a big fan of both CSI: Vegas and New York, but how well does the format translate to the printed page as I've not read any of them yet.
