Relatives on Trek...

Would having/seeing a relative on Trek make it harder to get lost in the story. My niece has a part in the ST XI, it's not a big part I think she has one or two lines, however, just seeing her may just distract me from the story. Would seeing a reletive distract you much...

Resistance if Futile

My mom was an extra in an episode of Deep Space Nine. She got to be a Bajoran in the background when Kira gives a speech. Pretty good shot of her. They instructed all the Bajoran extras how to clap their hands (Bajorans clap differently than us...because they are aliens).

Doesn't break the illusion.

A friend of mine was in Revenge of the Sith, it takes me 'out' of the movie for a minute, but not that much. I just sit in awe of how cool it is that he's some small part of Star Wars. He even named a character in some online Republic website thing after me when Attack of the Clones came out.

Some friends of mine act too, one of them will also be in ST11, but in my experience, tho I'm elated they're working, it don't find it distracting- they're good actors, so it only adds to my enjoyment.

Sure. That's why I've never been in any production of Star Trek. I don't want to spoil it for my family and friends.

:techman:

Okay, my jealousy is just.. totally.. out of control ..
