I also bought a super cute pair of thermal pj's from, you'll never guess, K Mart! I was in there to get mouthwash and there they were, $11.95. They are pink and wintery, and so adorable and comfy that I think I'll go back (when my mouth is less miserable) and buy another pair in blue!

Make sure you don't let the sockets dry out. That can lead to very bad, bad things.

Well, I will need to buy a new touchpad for my laptop as I caffeinated my old one in the office today. Fortunately, my ThinkPad has a drain hole, so the coffee was routed away from anything critical.

I did indeed go present shopping today, as promised earlier. Didn't get as much as I planned (will have to go again next week) but I did pick up a couple of gifts for a friend, and for my dad:



And while there couldn't resist a navy silk/cashmere scarf for myself:



The waistcoat pictured is also new today (a bespoke order I commissioned a while back that had arrived at the shop where I went shopping for all the other items).

As for me I also did some Christmas shopping. After fueling up with a latte and blueberry muffin I found a Brett Farvre framed memorabilia thingy which includes a piece of the football from the touchdown pass that broke Marino's record. That will be my dad's gift. I also got ice skates for my "little" as well as some other small items.

Along the way I also bought a pair of Gucci aviator sunglasses. Merry Christmas to me.

It's terrible! I also tried on some watches and a Burberry trench coat. I decided to wait on January sales for those items. Then I tried on the glasses expecting them to not look right. Unfortunately they looked just fine.

Burberry trenches are fearfully overpriced. But yes, pretty cool. If you can get hold of Aquascutum trenches, try them out instead. As good as Burberry (except Burberry Prorsum) and cheaper.

I love a good trench. I'm currently selling a couple of Aquascutum double-breasted trenches and am sorely tempted to keep one of them for myself. I already have two other raincoats, but it's just so cool.

I too recently got a pair of aviator sunglasses that are actual Air Force issue. They were given to me in return for help editing a book. I really like the style.

They look ridiculous on me too. I used to have aviator frames for my regular glasses back in the late 80s. Man, that was a REALLY bad decision for my face-shape!

They go alongside RayBan Clubmasters & Wayfarers as glasses that I love but can't wear. I need narrow rim frames & small size lenses to suit my face I think. Well, I can just about pull off the Wayfarers on a good day.
