No Jurassic Park 4

While thread derailing by Good Will Riker isn't anything new, you have to admit this approach is something new. For this thread in particular, I was expecting his derailing about the lack of Asian stegosauruses in Jurassic Park or that a character named Ian Malcolm can and should be played by B.D. Wong.
Since B.D. Wong is part of the Jurassic Park cast, his representation on behalf of Asian Americans is good enough for me. :bolian:

My only suggestion would be that you take movies a lot less seriously.
They say that ignorance is bliss...

In this case, definitely not.

getting back on topic myself, I would love to see Neil, Goldblum, and Dern in the same film again.

Seeing Dern in III made me sad when she wasn't in the rest of the film.

I do think that any one of them could carry a film by themselves however. Although II and III were weak, I can't blame Goldblum or Neil. They were great in those movies.

Good Will Riker, give it a rest. It's a thread about Jurassic Park, not religion or the anti-Christ. If you've got such a big problem with Sam Neill, perhaps you're better off starting a separate thread about it rather than derailing this one.

Let's get back on topic, folks.
Understood. :)

James Doohan voiced a devil-like creature during TAS...AND THEN TURNED AROUND AND VOICED SCOTTY...WHERE WERE THE CHRISTIANS TO PROTEST HIS WORK?!?!?!:scream::scream::scream:

JAMES DOOHAN=:devil::evil::devil::evil::devil::evil:

ALL TREK MUST BE DESTROYED BY JESUS

JESUS=:cool:

ACCEPT JESUS INTO YOUR HEART AND ALSO ANUS

Edit: The roll eyes are for GWR's post.
Are you kidding me?

A man who was low enough to accept a high profile role as the antichrist Damien Thorn in an Omen film turns around and portrays a hero for the children in Jurassic Park? How smarmy of him.

You got it backwards, dude, because you are thinking of his cool, likable image as Alan Grant first and then thinking that Damien Thorn role was something he did a long time ago.

No, I actually watched The Final Conflict on television a full 8 years before Jurassic Park ever premiered in 1993, and he is an actor who got "his charm down" like the way the real antichrist would in deceiving the real world into thinking he is a cool, popular, likable guy.

Nice try.

But, Sam Neill is a closet devil worshipper.

Put your childhood image of him behind, and see him for who he truly is.
so i guess by your logic william shatner is a devil worshipper too, since he played one in "the devil's rain".

Perhaps you should both read Top41's comments a few posts above yours. Particularly the bit where she asks everyone to get back to the thread's topic.

Just a friendly suggestion.

oh.... am i the only one here mentioning something like this? my bad.

Sorry, I hadn't finished reading before replying. ;)

So, no Jurrassic Park 4 - too bad, eh? I would have probably watched it if it had been made, but I don't really care either way.

and btw. Omen 3 sucked, the first two parts were much more exciting.

Wow. Just wow.

:lol::lol::lol:

(and yeah, I'm laughing at you, not with you)

Sam Neill rocks. A very fine actor. If portraying a character in a film makes 'the great benevolent god' cast you into hell, than I'll gladly follow Neill there. Hell can't be that bad. At least there's rock 'n roll, partying and booze there.

Alright, enough medievalism now.

I'm glad there won't be a Jurassic Park 4. It would probably have sucked.

Mark my words.

A true Christian would have refused the role of Damien Thorn in The Final Conflict on the grounds that it is exploitive and goes against God and Jesus Christ. However, Sam Neill had no qualms in accepting such a role, so I do not support any of this man's projects or ventures.

There is nothing in his biography that states that he is a Christian or is a believer of almighty God, so he is just a low, filthy actor who would have the audacity to portray satan on screen to boost his profile.

Cubby Broccoli was wise not to cast him as 007. Imagine Damien Thorn uttering the lines "Bond...James Bond" on screen while ordering a vodka martini "Shaken, not stirred."

And, come to think of it what is Daniel Craig doing portraying the devil in an upcoming film?

Pagan actors who will regret it when their time comes.

They serious need to repent in order to be saved.

Get professional help while you still can.

Everytime I catch actor Sam Neill on screen (film, television, commercials), I always think of him as that antichrist Damien Thorn from The Final Conflict.

So, I am glad that they are not making any more Jurassic Park films for the foreseeable future and that this actor will not be in any high profile Hollywood production ever again by portraying a charming man and an action hero adventurer when it is not beneath him to accept a paycheck to portray the son of satan in a Hollywood production.

Good riddance!

This is one actor who needs to seriously repent, or we know where he will be going once he casts off his mortal coil.

Does this apply to the little boy who played him in the remake too?

As for Jurassic Park 4 - unfortunate, but I won't lose any sleep over it.

I just got to work, and I clicked on this thread, wondering how on Earth a thread about Jurassic Park 4 could have possibly gone on for four pages.

Now I know. Holy shit.

Which is why I thought it was a joke at first. Plus in the movie humans play God, the results aren't great, so maybe there is a lesson, only God is God and humans aren't or blah blah blah....
A scientist portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson created and hatched those dinosaurs in a lab, which is the reason why so many of them "ran-a-muck" and had a "foot-to-ass mentality!" encoded into their DNA. ;)
Jackson played no such character in the film. He was in charge of park ops and had ZERO ZERO ZERO to do with the dinos themselves.

Right. In fact, the lone Asian-American character in the movie was the one who created the dinosaurs.

Which means I'm now awaiting a treatise on how Spielberg and Koepp are racists, because it was the Asian-American who created the crazy dinos, which makes him the true villain of the movie.

(If anyone here is in film school, this is master's thesis-level material here. Book it.)

I was thinking the same thing. I read page one and then just skipped to the end hoping it would be back on topic and its only just now starting to right itself.

ON TOPIC though - I'd love a fourth film to manifest and think that Chricton and most creative, artisitic and expressionist individuals would want something of theirs carried on in as good a manner as they left it.
So, sadly that means no military trained gun carrying T-Rex's but I would like a JP:4.

Still the best thread ever!

And GWR never did comment on the fact he stole JP3, stealing is wrong people, and not just because a made up God says so.

But anyways, it's still not dead, nothing is ever dead, not even dinosaurs. :) In 10+ years I'm sure we will see a new one, maybe staring the kids in the prime role. I think it's good that they finally gave up making a sequel just to make another one. Power Ranger dinosaurs even I hate and I'll watch and JP movie.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not...

So, no JP4 then? To be honest, with several franchises going the way of 4, it's refreshing to see the JP franchise staying put. I was sceptical about JP3, and rightly so.

The Antichrist moves in mysterious ways.

Yet another incredible thing about the original Jurassic Park: how Samuel L Jackson can go through a movie and be almost completely anonymous. :bolian:

Ok, everybody back on topic. Let's drop the religious stuff, and the potshots at GWR. Thanks.
