I'm glad I work in a Catholic high school. I plan to ask one of the priests I am friends with there this very question tomorrow at work. I shall return with what should be a definitive answer on the matter (assuming this thread is still open).

there indeed is a Heaven and a Hell, one of 2 places we will be going once our life ends here on Earth (Unless, an astronaut/cosmonaut happens to tragically die in space.).

I was about to say that I just got off the phone with Zeus, the supreme God of the world, and that he's angry as blazes at you for not sacrificing any puppies to him, ever, and is lacing up his hiking boots as I type to kick you in the ass so hard you grandparents in Dis will feel it.

But now I see, based on the above quote, that you were joking all along! Well played, sir. Highly amusing. :rommie:

Wait...wait...wait. Back the trolley up a second.

GWR, if you are so against movies the have the Devil as a character in them, why did you sit down to watch Omen: The Final Conflict? :wtf:

or any of the omen movies for that matter
I was only 10 years old when I came across those films on television, and they scared me to death!

Mark my words, as I watched those films as a child on television, and again as a 28 year old man 5 years ago when all 3 films came on AMC I was denouncing every single bit of it for going against God and Jesus Christ.

To be quite frank, those films I found as a 28 year old man to be quite exploitive and nowhere the reality of suffering we will be facing when the time of Tribulation and the End Times comes (perhaps) in our very lifetime.

There is a special place in hell for Yankee fans too.

Maybe that's where all the dinosaurs went! They didn't believe in the power of Jebus Christ and God sent the comet to kill them!

Oh wait... That's right there were no dinosaurs and the planet is only 8,000 years old.

I'm looking up the hell / no hell thing, no luck yet, it was probably 10 years ago now.

Ask him if it's OK to have sex with little children while you are there too. I'm trying to figure out where in the Bible it says it's OK, I think it's right next to the part where they say that having slaves is fine.

And I love this, and it fits....

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:...where they watch tapes over and over showing the Dave Robert's 04 ALCS steal...

I try to live my life as a good and moral person, and I believe thats what gets you into heaven, if there is infact one. I don't believe entering is dictated to blindly following some dogmatic cult.

We should get GWR to watch Dogma...and then see what he does.

I've noticed something strange here.

GWR, why are you so offended that "anti-christ" Sam Neil got a role in Jurrassic Park? Would another actor have made you happy?

Isn't Jurrassic Park in itself from your point of view a unchristian film since it promotes the theory of evolution?

I hate to make you paranoid, but Sam Neil and that Jew Speilberg are in it together!

Which is why I thought it was a joke at first. Plus in the movie humans play God, the results aren't great, so maybe there is a lesson, only God is God and humans aren't or blah blah blah....

Jerry Goldsmith did the soundtrack to the omen (1976)
To those who participated in these films in any capacity know full well what they were getting themselves into, so it is up to God and Jesus Christ to judge them for all of their actions and for them to ask for repentence in their own ways.

Sam Neill, however, portrayed the antichrist in one instance then goes onto portray a movie action hero that is marketed to impressionable children around the world, and then goes to portray a demon-possessed man in Event Horizon, only to come back and portray Alan Grant again for an easy paycheck in Jurassic Park III.

What a "corruptible" hypocrite.

Don't be fooled by this guy.

His heart and soul is not in the right place, and the only thing he worships is the almighty buck.

Get over yourself. Because you are behind the almighty God, you can judge people?

Not likely.

so it is up to God and Jesus Christ to judge them

Really? It seems to me that it's up to you and other cult members to judge them, you have been judging them for hours.

And calling others hypocrites is funny as hell considering you don't follow everyone of God's words either, so we will all see you in hell.

You will be in the Yankee section.

Anyone watch "Storm Chasers"? I love this show!

He's an actor. Acting is his job. Maybe he was trying to expand his acting range, as any good actor.

I am an atheist. I don't believe in God or the Devil. Does that mean I'm going to Hell? Since I don't believe in Hell, you'd have a helluva time convincing me that that's where I'm going to end up.

Sometimes you need to get your head out of the sand and learn to separate your "beliefs" from what's actually going on in the world.

Out of the sand? He needs to get his head out of his ass, I'm pretty sure it's a sin to have it up there anyways.

I already saw it 9 years ago.

Believe me, I do not need to see it again.

I've noticed something strange here.

Yes, I would have preferred another actor in the role.

Pierce Brosnan would have been a better choice to model himself after Spielberg's bread-and-butter franchise character of Indiana Jones for the Jurassic Park films, which the film version of Dr. Alan Grant is a poor man's rip-off of.

Isn't Jurrassic Park in itself from your point of view a unchristian film since it promotes the theory of evolution?
Actually, those 6 days of creation of the universe for God could very well be billions of years for the rest of us.

So, in essence, dinosaurs did roam the Earth during one of those 6 days of creation of the universe.

I hate to make you paranoid, but Sam Neil and that Jew Speilberg are in it together!
They were in it for the money.

Purely, money.

Which is why I thought it was a joke at first. Plus in the movie humans play God, the results aren't great, so maybe there is a lesson, only God is God and humans aren't or blah blah blah....
A scientist portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson created and hatched those dinosaurs in a lab, which is the reason why so many of them "ran-a-muck" and had a "foot-to-ass mentality!" encoded into their DNA. ;)

Only God Himself can judge at the end of my mortal life whether I go to Heaven or Hell.

Amen.

That is the stupidest thing you have said yet. So God's days are very long? So is he "resting" now? That's why he doesn't talk to us or anything?

Plus does that mean the rapture will come on the 8th day?

And why is God always a he? Could religion be anymore sexist.
