This may be really tough to do, I don't know, but I'd love to see this image of Ottawa (circa 1920) colourized:

This one didn't come out as well...I just whipped it up after I posted the first one:

I rushed on the jacket and flowers, and it shows Still, I think it does some justice to what the original person may have looked like.

That looks pretty cool (especially the flowers). Is there really any way to know for sure what color anything was, though?

She did a wonderful job on a picture of Hubby around age 3. It was damaged and splotchy. Now, I'm going to have it printed on high-quality paper/stock and frame it.

To be fair, I have to say that I took oil painting classes for a year, so I use a lot of that when choosing the all the colors and their varying tones.

Here's my latest - a picture of my stepmother's parents in the 1950s:

That one really does look like an oil painting. That aerial shot is fantastic, too.

Come on, RJ, give it a shot! Google some Time Life photography, and go for it!

I might do some experimenting next week. I'm trying to focus singlemindedly on my NaNo project right now, but that will end on Sunday. Anyway, I'm more of a cartooning kind of guy, but I definitely want to try this.

Well, I'm a pretty big Gary Cooper fan and over the years have collected alot of images of him. I make avatars and desktops (not only of him, but of many classic film stars), but I have always wanted some colorized versions of this one:

I have a few other photos of him that would look great colorized, but I'd want to send 'em to you because they are too big to post and I don't want to shrink 'em because I'd like them back in large size to use in desktops.

How dare you call my work fake! I spent the better part of 3 hours colouring that old photo in, I paid special attention to the bra.

I wish I had PS to do that. There's something about putting color into old pictures that make me relate to the subjects of the shots more than the original.

Oh and if you can I'd love to see this pic colorized.

It's women working at a local dress factory in the 50's.
