Amazons description of Full Circle (possible spoilers)

So as I was putzing aroound on Amazon I noticed they now have a description up for Full Circle (yeah!)
Product Description
When the U.S.S. Voyager is dispatchd on an urgent mission to the planet Kerovi, Captain Chakotay and his first officer, Commander Thomas Paris, must choose between following their orders and saving the lives of two of those dearest to them. B'Elanna Torres and her daughter, Miral, are both missing in the wake of a brutal attack on the Klingon world of Boreth. With the aid of their former captain, Admiral Kathryn Janeway - as well as many old friends and new allies - Voyager's crew must unravel an ancient mystery, placing themselves between two warrior sects battling for the soul of the Klingon people...while the life of Mirl hangs in the balance. But these events and their repurcussions are merely the prelude to even darker days to come. As Voyager is drawn into a desperate struggle to prevent the annihilation of the Federation, lives are shattered, and the bonds that were forged in the Delta Quadrant are challenged in ways that none could have imagined. For though destiny has dealth them crushing blows, Voyager's crew must rise to face their future...and begin a perilous journey in which the wheel of fate comes full circle.

So is this the acurate back cover blurb? It sounds intriguing to me, the Klingon tie in sounds great...and whats this "...aid from thier former captain, Admiral janeway"?? That phrase may just kill me between now and March. Oops, that obviously takes place earlier in the time line :brickwall: Oh well still, Its good to Janeway will have a role in the book.

"Dispatchd"? "Mirl"? "Repurcussions"? Not sure I trust a blurb with that many typoes...

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

if it's legit though, I think there goes all the speculation about how Full Circle was going to be dealing with the, uhm, Before Dishonor's baggage. From this blurb, it seems the book is set way earlier in the timeline. Cool, I guess.

Yeah, it's been said that this book will begin well before Before Dishonor, indeed immediately after Spirit Walk, and then end some time after the events of Destiny. So this'll be an epic that spans (a couple?) of years.

It may start in 2381, after the events of Destiny, but have flashbacks like they do in the Destiny.

I'm not giving this credence until Kirsten comes in here and says "Yeah, this is mine."

And I seriously want that rogue Changeling to be in the book so Chakotay can melt his gelatinous ass.

Apart from the typos (please dear God...WTF, does somebody get paid to post these by amazon?)...this is the back cover blurb for Full Circle.

Yes, it has been called "epic" by some who have already read it. It picks up right where Spirit Walk left off, and covers the next two and a half years, through the events of Destiny and a little after. So, Janeway is featured, obviously, during the sections set while she was still alive, but the crew's subsequent response to her death is also dealt with.

As the fate of the Changeling, like the issues surrounding Miral (or Mirl, I guess :brickwall: ), was one of the bigger dangling threads left in Spirit Walk, it's safe to assume that the issue will be addressed. But no, I'm not telling you how.

I hope everyone here who celebrates Thanksgiving has a safe and fabulous holiday.

Best,
Kirsten

Thanks, Kirsten for posting. We all can't wait for Full Circle to release. This sounds more like the direction the Voyager relaunch should have went with from the beginning.

Will Full Circle briefly summarize the events from the four previous relaunch books? I was so disappointed by Christie Golden's Homecoming that I just couldn't bear to read the rest of the books. As far as I was concerned, the VOY relaunch was headed down the same path as the subpar series it was based on.

But the change in authors makes me curious to see if VOY can finally get on the right track, and I may be tempted to give this book a try.

I will be in the same situation although I haven't read any of the post Endgame books yet (Dark Matters put me off Ms Goldens work), but as all Trek Stories are designed to be read individually from each other (apart from say a series like A Time To.... or Destiny) I'm guessing there will be recapping of what occurred in the previous novels when and where it needs to be addressed.

Janeway is dead? ....... j/k

Thanks Kirsten, glad to know that Amazon are capable of getting stuff mostly right occasionally. I'll be picking this up as soon as I am able.

I have not read CG's post-finale books, either, but I did get to read Full Circle as a part of the post-Destiny clean-up crew. And you needn't worry -- Kirsten does all the recapping you'll need, and writes a fine tale, to boot. :bolian:

Good to hear! I've been debating whether I should read Homecoming and others or not... You've clinched it for me.

In defense of Golden, her first two books are not that bad, i just didn't love the second two, mainly because I do not love Chakotay(Ok that is being kind). I am sure that reading those four books would really help in getting the most out of Full Circle. I am really excited that Tom Paris is then new first officer. He is actually my favorite VOY character.
