explanation for the new look of 'E'

Just the morons behind this movie.
Edward James Olmos was honest enough to tell fans of the old BSG that maybe they shouldn't watch the new version.
Orci just wants to lead Trek fans on.

Why the hell would he (Orci) feel the need to lie to an insignificantly small portion of the intended audience? He's smart enough to know that the existing fan base isn't going to make or break this film.

He should have the courtesy to tell the truth.

Or you just can't handle the fact that some Trek fans don't worship the ground Abrams or Orci walks on.

If it's only a movie, why the hell are you so offended by me and my opinions?

I don't agree with your opinions about the movie but I'm not offended by them.

I'm more interested in figuring out just why they're all a bunch of liars, that's all.

I'm offended any time I see anyone slander someone with absolutely no evidence to back up their absurd claims. You got a problem with that?

I just told you people why they are liars.
It's not my fault you are so blinded by your love for Abrams and Orci.

Wow! I've seen maybe a half dozen episodes of "Alias". Never watched "Felicity". Lost interest in "Lost" after the first couple of episodes. Thought "Cloverfield" was enjoyable, but nothing to write home about. Felt "Transformers" was pretty good for a 2 hour toy ad. The only project of Abrams, Orci, and Kurtzman I've followed with any real enthusiasm is "Fringe".

I don't, by any means, worship the ground that these guys walk on. Was barely aware of them prior to their involvement with "Star Trek".

The thing is, none of them has done anything to earn my distrust, Thus far, they've delivered on every promise I've ever heard on of them make, about every project they've worked on.

Simply put, your assertion is wrong. I object to your posts, not because I'm blindly devoted to Orci and company, but because your posts have no basis in reality, and make wild claims with absolutely nothing to back them up save for your hurt feelings at being ignored. Your repeated attempts at character assassination are nothing more than sour grapes.

One last thing: I'm pretty sure your childhood must'a been askin' for it!

Well you mumbled something about a reboot. Is that what you meant? Fact is, nobody knows enough about the story either way to ascertain whether it is or it isn't a full reboot.

So, unless Orci told you explicitly that it is a reboot and he's been lying it up for kicks, this is just sour grapes and you need to stop disparaging the guy.

Calling someone a liar is very harsh IMO. I cant speak for anyone else but thats my 2 cents. I dont know if this was mentioned previously (I think it was) but there's probably ALOT Orci cant say for contractual (sp?) reasons.

Also Im curious about something, especially in the Internet Age we live in. Do we get to the point where we know "too much" about a movie/book/whatever before it's even released? I personally have only read through a few spoilers because I dont want to know 50% of the story before going to see the actual movie for the first time, so is it THAT big of a deal of knowing alot of the details BEFORE making the decision to see the movie?

Whether or not the movie is going to suck (im in the camp that thinks the movie will be good/great), I'm still going to pay X amount of dollars to go see it, then afterwards I'll be in a better position to judge whether or not it was worth it.

He is lying.
He's trying to pull a bait and switch.
Tell Trek fans one thing and then give them something different.

Based on what?

Jesus, you're a broken record.
