That space station looks like an updated version of Franz Joseph's Starfleet Headquarters. If so, nice nod.

It does indeed. It has elements resembling the orbital engineers headquarters from ST:TMP as well.

The trailer demonstrates that the designers on this film paid a great deal of attention to previous Trek design - they simply chose to use some things and change others.

Yup, they clearly know what they're doing. This is really going justice to the Trek concept, finally!

Yep. You're just transposing the S at the end of James to the beginning of "Tiberius".

I'm happy to reach a cosy impasse on this one, but I know other people have raised the same issue on one of the other trailer threads, so I guess there are enough people who aren't hearing a T for it to be a bit of a problem. For me, there's definitely no clear pronounciation of the letter T, whether or not the kid carried over the S from James or not. Perhaps it's the usual way Americans say S and T in this situation, which is why JJ didn't pick up on it. I think the kid just has problems with pronounciation and delivered the line badly.

Still, no excuse for not doing a redub.

Anyone else notice that the "viewscreen" seems to be an actual window to the outside of the ship? You can see the top of the saucer section, the forward hull flashing light and reflections of the "aztec" hull pattern.
Check it out at around 1.27.
You can quite clearly see the ship come out of warp and enter a debris field. One of the lups of debris seems to almost hit the bridge module and/or window.
I suspect there will be some kind of holographic display that overlays it, but its the first time we have seen the forward end of the ship out the bridge, which gives much more perspective on the size of the ship.
