I'd say most casual observers would say it's the same ship as the one from the movie eras.

Given that, I'd say all told the filmmakers seem to be staying faithful where they ABSOLUTELY need to stay faithful, and taking liberties where they can.

Not too keen on the nacelles, but it's not too bad. I neither love it nor hate it, so will undoubtedly live with it.

I think the chunkiness of the nacelle hoods is odds with the fluting of the secondary hull (and they both make an ungainly fit with the flat edge of the saucer), but I don't dislike it. The perpetuation of the blue accents from the A is a nice touch.

My first reaction...WTF?!!! To say I am SHOCKED, SHOCKED, is an understatement! I figured it would be much closer to the TOS design, but while keeping the familiar elements, but this is just...ah huh. I like it, but I don't love it, and I am waiting for the purists to FLIP out. I love the saucer and the neck, but I think the engineering hull sticks forward a bit too far, and the nacelles connect to the pylons to close to the front.

I guess I love the design asthetic and, but the proportions bother me a little.

It's nowhere near as bad as it could be.

My only beef(s) are that the PhoTorp launchers/neck are too far recessed from the front of the navigational deflector and the secondary hull is WAY too skinny in the rear.

I want to see more pics from different angles.

Yeessh, it looks so wrong-- very late TNG era, like 25th or 25th century. The only hope is that it gets trashed so bad that it ends up getting rebuilt into the gray-lady we all know and love.

Thats the thing, i like it, but the nacelles are fraking awful looking.

I mean, all they needed to do was to make the tips amller than that, they look wayyyy too big.

Unless they are going for aretro kinda 50's or 60's headlamp look from the likes of a corvette or similar. Maybe.


The caps just dont do it for me, if they were smaller yeah, but why do they have to be that chunky up front.



Still not sure on it, buts it what we got, deal with it.

I do like that the pylons are more sturdy. That has always been my one complaint about the original and why I prefer the Enterprise A.

I'm actually reminded a lot more of the Enterprise-C. Definitely has that "Lost Era" vibe to it.

Interesting.

It doesn't look like a re-imaging of TOS' TV Enterprise as much as a retro-engineering of TOS' Movie Enterprise.

I need to see it from a few more angles to get used to the look. But it looks cool.
