What a bunch of high tech snobs! I'm with captcalhoun on this.

Lindley, triple negations (or double and a half) confuse the hell out of me. Am I the only one?

But… doesn't NEVER having owned a Nintendo constitute high tech snobbery

No, it's a sign of maturity.

My point exactly: there seems to be some sort of snobbery involved :rommie:

It is wrong to preserve one's possessions rather than wasting money on new stuff? Or to be patient and tape movies and shows from TV rather than buying DVDs?

It was really just a joke. From what looks like 45s, to the VHS, to the Super Nintendo, to the indoor/outdoor carpet, he's probably in a basement, where such things would be stored.

He's a chubby, nerdy guy in a black Spider-Man costume. I'ma guess he owns a few DVDs. :p I'm also betting the Shirley Temple videos aren't his.

I've got two big moving-boxes of VHS-cassettes in the cellar -I'm so happy it isn't a damp cellar 'cuz I haven't had the opportunity to go through them all and digitize what I want to save yet…

I had a Commodore 128 -never bought a game for it though; wasn't why I had the machine. Later I bought a PS and I must've played it all of 5 hours before getting bored with the whole concept of video-games…
I don't know who has the Commodore, but the PS has been delivered to the recycling center. I do have a gameboy (the slim model -whatsitcalled?) somewhere though -I think- and possibly also a game or perhaps two for it.

The rest is in the category of funny images and I have no idea how old they are nor if they've been posted here before :rommie:

Here's one for when your completely unrelated thread ends up in an argument over same-sex marriage.
