Wow, there sure is a lot of snappy responses to my posts... Something wrong with having an individual opinion?
I haven't said anyone was gay... nor have I suggested that being gay is somehow 'lesser' than being heterosexual. That's people doing their usual pathetic attempts at discrediting another's POV by putting words in their mouths, exaggerating the impact of words and so forth. I haven't said Eddie Izzard is gay either, (and even if I had said it directly, where did I say 'gay = bad'? I didn't - someone else implied that though and implied I'd suggested it...) but there is no denying that he does put forth that characteristic in his dealings. To be honest, that guy makes me laugh hard, with some of the stuff he comes out with. I remember seeing him live once, and I could barely contain myself from laughing at the solid points he made which we tend to ignore on a daily basis - but when you examine the logic behind them, they're pretty amusing.
One I do agree with though was the Collin Baker comeback, you're right - he didn't act feminine, but his wardrobe certainly emitted that persona for him. Also, being black isn't a problem for me. Who's to say whether I'm white, black or yellow? More assumptions by the looks of things.
Might I suggest to folks, instead of having childish knee-jerk reactions to my posts, why not try being adults - and actually see what I'm writing instead of putting words in my mouth and then pretending I said something I hadn't.
