I just heard this on the radio, but cant find anything online about it. If true I wonder what happend to the full season order??

^^^About 2 hours ago.I was in a gas station. Maybe they mad a mistake. They were reading a list of canceled shows and Knight Rider was on it. Not to sad if it is canceled. It just wasnt getting any better but actually worse. Pushing Dasies and Lipstick Jungle were also mentioned.

Perhaps they went with some false information without verifying it. :)

Could be.

Lipstick Jungle
is being moved to the Friday death slot. Apparently NBC is desperate enough that they are trying to keep Life alive.

But ABC turned down Obama's money and is counter-progamming Pushing Daisies for Wed instead.

ABC is making a bold effort to get this show some more sampling -- declining request by Barack Obama's campaign to buy the 8 p.m. half hour on Wednesday, Oct. 29 -- so the network can air "Pushing Daisies" against virtually no scripted competition in hopes it will get some sampling. NBC and CBS and Fox have all agreed to air The Barack Obama Show, and CW airs "Top Model" at 8.I'm guessing it won't make a difference, but hoping I'm wrong.
To turn down Lord Obama, or should we call him King Midas at this point, :D they must be serious about trying to rescue a low-rated but critically praised, Emmy-nominations-garnering show.

PS, I agree, it won't work. The lack of a serious whats-at-stake in PD is killing it. People have had their chance to sample it.

You mean "Pushing Daisies" isn't a report on the current state of the McCain campaign? :)

(Sorry. Couldn't resist!)

What is "The Barack Obama Show"

seems like he has money to burn if he is buying up 30 minutes of primetime on all the networks.

During the show Obama will finally show the world that he can walk on water.

It's a Canadian show that will begin November 5th. ;)

And it did get a full season, it was the second or third show of the year to get picked up for a full season.

I'll tell ya's, if my $20 donation was helping Obama pre-empt what could be one of the last episodes of Pushing Daisies, I'd be demanding they return my money AND that absentee ballot I already sent in. :rommie: You get my shows cancelled, Barry, I'm writing in RON PAUL!!!

And the economic crisis may be helping save Knight Rider and other iffy shows.

Industry observers say the recent cluster of low-rated shows granted full-season orders might have something to do with network executives watching the plunging Dow rather than their shows' falling Nielsens.

No execs would talk on the record, but the economic crisis, combined with the cost of marketing a new series, the lack of new programming inventory because of the WGA strike and the anticipated difficulty of locking down new advertiser commitments, has networks inclined to play it safe.
Well, goodness, saving the show about the talking car is worth my stock portfolio being cut in half, isn't it. :)

Nah, that's My Own Worst Enemy.

Or Terminated: The Sarah Palin Chronicles.

Or the obvious: Lost.

I'm not a fan of the new Knight Rider series, but for the sake of those who do enjoy it, I hope it is renewed. :)

I would've said the same thing, but after watching it slide downhill week after week, I think it should be canceled so they can make room for a show that might actually deserve the space.

I was a big fan of the original series, and really wanted to like this one. But I just don't buy any of it, from the juvenile behavior of the leads to the fact that every week Mike runs into ex-military types. The original show was a guilty pleasure and his relationships with women and villains were two dimensional, but at least Mike was written as an adult and they mixed up the villains a little bit more.

And the humor was actually funny, IMO.

I didn't bother to watch more than half of the last episode, at which point I couldn't stand it any more and deleted the series from my DVR. I wouldn't be sad to see it go, I'd just look forward to giving whatever replaced it a chance.
