Don't forget the 400 coats of paint...on everything.
My best friend was in the navy for 8 years, worked aboard the Carl Vinson. He said when they had nothing else to do, they painted. Everything.

This is how I win debates.
Only the gay guys. I have the lesbian contingent, too.

Apparently!
He said the hangar deck doors were incredibly thick, but that very little of it was steel.

I used Photoshop to get an idea of what Pine will look like in command gold. Check it out...

I'll be waiting for you "JJ" fans" that complained about the story about why Khan couldn't remember Chekov because he wasn't on the Enterprise to remember him.
Try reading and writing all the post Polaris.
The new uni's seem a little bit to "Aquaman-ish" for my taste. And it seems that the bridge is wwaayy to much like Galaxy Quest also. Are you people that take" JJ"'s words to heart really think that he is a "fan" or does he think that he can really bring in new fans of his "reimagining"???? We shall see on opening day, but unfortunately my money won't be included in the theatrical release. Everything I have seen and heard so far has been what I have thought what would happen if you tried to do the things Abrams wants.

I think J.J.'s fan enough to work on the heart of Star Trek. Criticizing the drapes doesn't even begin to tell the whole story. Don't like the design? Fine. Not seeing the movie because you don't like the uniforms and the bridge? Perfectly acceptable. Keep your money. The movie won't need it. You can cherish your DVDs of the series' you own.

And Polaris criticized my writing technique? No I don't like the design. Mainly because it does not "look" Star Trek for a bridge. More like "trying" to blend in other shows to make it look appealing.
He is trying to make it look appealing, yes. He's doing this because Star Trek needs revived. It is dying on it's current track. I think what he's doing is making people go "Oooh! Pretty lights!" and BAM, hit them with a good story. It worked for Iron Man, it can work for Star Trek.
J.
Really? Iron Man was good?
Maybe I missed that part.

But Star Trek on it's own is an entirely different entity. Of course you get some excellent CGI and Iron-Man being reletively a roll of the dice hero, albight with all the explosions in the movie and all, doesn't suprise me. But Star Trek is not about that at all. It is about facing what is ultimately what is negative in your life and overcoming it. And on that note and nowadays is almost not seen anymore. IMO Star Trek is still too "nerdish" and that is not the right word to use, to attract a mainstream audience or "new" fans.
And Polaris criticized my writing technique?

No, I just pointed out that your sentence was unintelligible; it remains so, and the defect is not in my understanding - it's that whatever you thought you were saying there, you did not succeed.
But 'culturally iconic' is not the same thing as 'financially successful now.' Plenty of 'iconic' franchises have been ruined by pitching their 'updated' versions to the wrong audience or not providing enough to draw in new fans. Thunderbirds springs immediately to mind.
...and any other person who knows how to write a coherent sentence and paragraph. And Polaris criticized my writing technique?
