I absolutely love everything I've seen so far. Someone on page 2 said this was what they expected from a contemporary big budget remake. I completely agree.
Some folks have been mad about the bridge but I don't see it. IMHO, the TOS bridge had too much of smooth 60s design feel to it. It looks more contrived and put-together (like most sets from the 60s did); too laid back. I think they've tried to convey a military machine feel to the bridge. It conveys a sense of activity and urgency which I like. Sort of like a submarine's bridge. At the same time they've managed to capture the sense of flow while maintaining the busy.
As for the brightness, etc. Color-correction, specific situations, god only knows what. We've seen 2 photos folks, we can't really judge the movie's use of its sets yet. That yeoman's station may only be used for a couple of minutes in the final cut. Or it may be a shared station. Who knows.
