^ I am not certain. Friedman talks about him in the podcasts and mentioned him in discussions about the character of Riley a couple of times. Specifically how the execs are dead set that Riley be completely human and how they wanted her introduced as soon as possible rather than at a later date (the character was supposed to come in in the 9th episode, the Fox Execs wanted her ASAP). They also insisted on a more episodic series than an arc.

Looks like we get another throw away terminator(I don't recognize that guy) next week when John and Derek go on a gun trip

This is the terminator from the first season who was married to the woman who was working on the traffic set up thingy. So he isn't a throw away, he actually is continuity---whatever there might be:lol:

As far as Sarah being soft, good call on saying she is more like the T1 Sarah rather than the T2 Sarah. I think TPTB, or even the Fox execs(like they shoudl have a say), are trying to make Sarah more 'feminine' possible to appeal to more women. I don't know. I wish she was more kick ass tough than this emotional dud.:p

I enjoyed the episode. it did drag a bit, hoping that they have more 'action' in the following episodes. I would like to see John get less whiny and more leader which is what it looks like we will get next week.

Hope they at least have a somewhat end to this show if it gets cancelled... hate that 'hanging' feeling;)

that was Vick, he got melted

The Terminator in the next episode is not Vick Chamberlain. It's a new one played by Patrick Kilpatrick.

I thought the writers said they weren't turning this show into a Terminator of the week show? So far this season that's exactly what it's been, with the exception of this episode (and I suppose you could argue it actually was a "Terminator of the week" episode.

I think his last name is Riley, hence the ditzy character's name.

The ratings are disappointing, but not surprising given the positively sucky timeslot. Shades of Enterprise Season 4, if you ask me.

EDIT: There is some potential good news, though.

The Execs demanded more standalone episodes. That was why we had an increase in TOTW type stories. At least with the episode (aptly titled 'Goodbye to All That') we're going to have more Future War scenes.

The new rumor is they're considering moving it to Wednesday nights at 9:00 with Bones as its lead in.

FOX:
"The rumors are all speculative and never fact checked with the network or studio."

So, for the moment, Terminator is not terminated. Rumor is Fox is going to move it to Wednesdays with Bones as its lead in.

Wow...is Fox about to make a good decision? I can hardly believe it.
