For fuck's sake, is there something to this star destroyer that I'm missing? I've seriously tried to kill it at least a dozen times.

JEEZ-US!!!

I am at the part where your in the huge area with the Death Star death ray is test firing.
I listen to Juno tell me a big long speech about getting to the emperor's platform thinggie.
I kill the 2 walkers, activate the rings that let you float up (watch another cut scene, kill a whole shit load of dudes jump over to the platform (activate ANOTHER cut scene) with nary a save or anything in site.
I get whacked by one of the shadow troopers or get knocked of the platform into the death ray or something stoopid and have to start the FUCKING process over again.

How about a save after the first cut scene or after I kill the 2 walkers and activate another cut scene.
How about one after I activate the third cut scene?
GAWD, HOW FUCKING AGRO-FUCKING-VATING!!!! :scream:

This kind of shit is what seriously ruins a game and there is absolutely no reason for it.
None.

^Yeah, I'm trying really hard to like this game, but it's got some serious flaws in its design that make it suddenly stop being fun.
 
There's no excuse in modern gaming for the lack of an ability to save at any time the player wants to. I had the exact same problem with Grand Theft Auto IV.
 
I agree. And especially since you don't really have "lives" anymore, it doesn't even make sense to reset to the last save point. I definitely prefer games where you die...and then you just reappear where you were.

I'm tired of dying, then waiting for the level to reload so I can restart at some random point that the game decided was a "checkpoint."
 
The PS3 lets you save at any point, trouble is when you die you dont return to the saved point, so its kind of pointless.
 
The other thing that slightly annoyed me, when I played it the second time around it skipped the Vader mission at the beggining, and that was the level I was looking forward to replaying the most.

The 360 version does the exact same thing. Why include such a feature if it won't let us reload the game at that exact point? It's stupid.

The thing that really aggravates me is going through the tunnels that lead up to this part and aligning the rings the damn thing saves like 6 times for a small amount of game play.
You also get a checkpoint midway through a boss battle and after you die you get a whole full life back so why make the whole game so damn skewed?

I soooo agree that this day and age there is absolutely no reason what-so-ever you shouldn't be able to save “wherever” you are.
Why do devs drop the ball on this kinda simplistic ass shit?


My 8 out of 10 just dropped to a very low 7 out of 10


I don't mind the game being hard, in fact I want a challenge for my $60.00 but I don't want a game to be aggravating that put it up for 6 months because I'm so pissed with it.

Sorry devs Playing the same area over and over and over is not a challenge and forcing me to watch the same cut scene over and over is just un-acceptable.



I am picking up Brothers in Arms today and giving Star Wars an hour of more of my time tonight.

If I can't get past this part in that time I'm done with this game for a while as I'm picking up a game a week for the next few months.


I want to have fun playing the games and just get pissed with them.

I just bought Lego Batman last night, so I'm gonna put Force Unleashed away for a while. I'm too annoyed with it now, and it has completely stopped being fun.
 
I just brought the star destroyer down again, took less time this time, I dont know if its because I'm maxed out on grip now, of if I just didnt waste time trying to follow what it said on the screen.

I just hope this time as I get near the end, that when they offer me the choice between good and bad, it isnt in the middle of a button pressing frenzy, so the choice is made before I even know I have one.
 
Ok, I dont get how you chose the dark side ending, I was miles from the fight, and as I approached it just said, fight the emporer, are you just meant to do nothing to chose the dark side?
 
Well I'm fighting the Emperor but he's pretty much just kicking my ass.
I get his health down to a little less than half and he beats me down. :lol:
 
As soon as he starts flinging those barrels around, get behind the consoles, they will protect you, then kill the red and blue guards for more energy.
 
Well I got to Circuit City before the UPS truck came so I didn't get Brothers In Arms yesterday Soooo.
I played SW last night and beat it.
I was in fact staying behind the console as he threw stuff but I also used the saber block as he threw lightning and pretty much gave it back to him.
That combined with a few good combos and I spanked him.
I played the first few levels to pick up some of the cubes but at this point it's getting put up for a while.

Too many new games coming to replay one I've just beaten.
