One of the previous editors of MR once referred to summer as the vacation period inbetween model railroading sessions. I'm eager to get back to work on my layout, and it's something "tomboyish" that my daughter can enjoy helping and watching.

New glasses! Lenscrafters had a free lenses with any purchase of frames over $169.99 sale. It was too good to pass up! The free lenses were only plastic, but I was able to apply the discount to glass lenses, and got a $500 pair of glasses for $200!
They're even pinker than they appear.

Sophisticated yet slightly quirky, I think.
