Bobby is visited by the past when he finds a picture at his mother's grave indicating an old nemesis has returned, and the case only gets more complex when his brother and a mentor reappear.
I, for one, can not wait for this episode!

See, I was trying to convince myself of that from the moment Rodgers told use the results to the beginning of the final scene, but by the time of the confrontation of Declan, I'm pretty much gave up the ghost. And like I said in my review, thematically, it works better this way.I'm not at all convinced that Nicole is dead.
I don't care if the DNA results said it was her heart. She's faked stuff like this before. She could still be out there.
Just some random kid.Side note: When Goren is in the lab freaking out Rodgers, who is that on the slab? Just a random victim that Rodgers was examining? I thought it might have been Donnie, but I guess this dead kid was too young.
I didn't expected it, but when Wallace was declared dead, I saw the possibility of him being behind it (despite trying to convince myself at the same time that she was still alive). After all, who else would it be?And I didn't expect Declan Gage to be responsible for all this shit either. That came way the hell out of left field. In a good way.
Yeah, I was shocked they killed him off so quickly.Poor Frank, though...![]()

Yeah, I remember the episode ("Great Barrier"). Fans got to vote which ending they preferred. Clearly showed most people like Nicole (despite the hate she gets here). It's certainly possible she's still alive, but as I said, I can accept it as it is now.See, I was trying to convince myself of that from the moment Rodgers told use the results to the beginning of the final scene, but by the time of the confrontation of Declan, I'm pretty much gave up the ghost. Remember that time where they did the two alternate endings? The one I happened to see, was actually definitive: Nicole is shot dead, onscreen, by Goren and Eames. She even shows up on the slab! *That* is the only kind of death I will accept for Nicole.
The other ending, the one that was actually 'canon', had Nicole escape into the water but a quart of her blood was left behind. Rodgers says something about nobody can lose that much blood and live, but obviously Nicole did. (I forget the name of the episode where all this went down.)
This trick we just saw, with her heart, was on that level.
What I expected was one final showdown between Nicole and Bobby, with Nicole striking Bobby deep in every way possible. His brother, his nephew, his mentor, the knowledge of his father, and even his career. And while that, in a way, is what happened, I was shocked to the point of denial (which I carried until the final scene) that Nicole was unceremoniously killed behind the scenes and her heart sent to Goren (and I expected it was Donnie's head, a la Se7en).
Lastly (and I know people who have hated the recent personal angst for Goren will love this), Goren is given a clean slate with all the past ugliness cleared out. The only thing left hanging is Donnie.

I'll definitely miss Olivia D'Abo. Beautiful and talented, and yes, an incredible voice. For some reason, I love the way she says "Bobby."I felt the same way. I didn't want to believe it. It's an ignominious end for a terrific archnemesis (and a lovely recurring actress -- I love that voice). Not only will I miss having her around, but it's such an anticlimax. What I expected was one final showdown between Nicole and Bobby, with Nicole striking Bobby deep in every way possible. A bit repetitive perhaps, but it works for me because how neurotic he is and the situation with his daughter caused him to snap. And as oppose to "Blind Spot," where he suspected for a large portion of the episode (but I could be wrong about that since it's been awhile since I've seen it), he wasn't suspected until the final quarter of the episode. It's also kind of repetitive to have Declan actually become a serial killer in his second appearance after he was suspected of being one in his first.
Hm, that is true, although I don't see any particular story potential to run with. Perhaps it'll be addressed in his first episode next season, but like the conflict with Eames this season, it will probably be quickly dealt with.I don't think this will clean Bobby's slate. I mean, his brother has been murdered my his mentor, supposedly in Bobby's own interests. I'd call that grounds for plenty of angst, pain, rage, and guilt. There's nothing cleansing about this.Lastly (and I know people who have hated the recent personal angst for Goren will love this), Goren is given a clean slate with all the past ugliness cleared out. Off topic, I totally forgot that Jeff Goldblum is joining the cast in November. November can't come quick enough!
Considering the season ended in August I don't think that November is unreasonable.
Even if Declan said he killed Nicole, that doesn't mean he actually did. He could be covering for her.
As for John & Olivia: In Trek terms, Verad Dax killed Amanda Rogers.![]()
