"Knowing" teaser trailer (Nicolas Cage, Alex Proyas)

^
You forgot "I, Robot" ;).

As for "Knowing", my first thought was: Oh no, why does it have to be cage? I've got nothing against cage as a person but I usually just can't stand to see him on screen. Don't ask me why. It's just something about his expressions and the way he tends to act that make me want to cringe a lot of the time.

Apart from that, well, I don't know. It could be interesting, it could be pretty straight forward. It seems to be pretty well made but then Proyas films usually seem to be.

That and "The Wicker Man." I"ll never be able to take the man seriously again.

I had the same reservations about Cage (Proyas' involvement mitigates that a bit though) but this looks like it could be pretty good, albeit in what little we were able to see. That's actually a pretty cool idea incorporating someone predicting the future and putting that information in a time capsule. The trailer had a good sense of foreboding to it.

It looks entertaining. Cage can be hit or miss (hit--Raising Arizona, Lord of War, The Weather Man; miss--The Wicker Man, Ghost Rider), but Proyas seems pretty capable. I'm not expecting anything great, though.

Based on that criteria, which actors can you take seriously? Everyone's got some extreme stinkers on their resumes. And since The Wicker Man was from the director of The Shape of Things and In the Company of Men, I guess he's off your board too then.

Looks interesting...although overly dependent on the answer to the final question not being dumb, as so often is the case in these types of movies. ;)

Looks very interesting, never heard of this before... As for the answer for the last question, my speculation would be:
A: That's when a time traveler went back in time, or
B: The end of the world, or
C: I dunno :D

Otherwise seeing Cage in this reminds me of his recent movie "Next", which also dealt with seeing the future. Pretty good flick actually, I think - although there he has zero chemistry with Jessica Biel.

1.) The Wicker Man is exceptionally silly, and

2.) I was exaggerating for emphasis. I'm not really going to be unable to take him seriously ever again, it's just that sometimes it feels that way.

This looks pretty good. It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be any attempt to find out who wrote the letter with all those numbers on it, but I guess they have to save something for the actual movie. I hope that part is in the movie.

Also, it's nice to see that Rose Byrne is still doing movies eventhough she's on Damages.
