"Tough Little Ship"

Supernuke

Commander
Red Shirt
I was watching the episode Defiant today, and noticed that Thomas Riker says "tough little ship" when describing the Defiant. I'm pretty sure Will Riker describes the Defiant the same way in First Contact. I wonder if they did this on purpose or by accident. Anybody know?

On purpose, I imagine.

Probably just a subliminal nod to all the DS9 fans in the audience watching FC.

Well I thought it might just be one of those things that actors do. They sometimes tell them to put in a line they think their character might say, and if that was the case here, it could have been a coincidence because both characters are played by the same actor.

It was an insidious plot to boost First Contact DVD sales among conspiracy theorists.

Actually I think it fits quite well. After all, William and Thomas Riker are literally the same person, so stands to reason they will have similar ways of looking at things.

don't think to much ;) it's just entertainment and you don't need your brains to watch it :)

Why if you don't use your brain for the simple stuff, how can you possibly use it for the complicated?
