Not only are the tops of the discs devoid of any labeling(they are blank silver), but of the 3 sets i've gone through so far all have been scratched, full of finger prints, and the disc platters have been broken on all of them.I'm bringing back my thrird set to Best Buy(AGAIN!), tomorrow and am going to speak to a manager about getting a refund.I DID want the set alot, but I refuse to spend $55 on a set that is supposably new but repeatedly has come in VERY poor condition. If they don't want to give me a new set, i'll make them keep opening sets until I find one that's in the condition new dvds should be in when you buy them, though I doubt such a set exists,if the three i've ha so far offer any indication of what to expect.
Paramount quality control obviously has gotten EXTREMELY poor if it even exists at the Mexican plant where these things are made.Whoever came up with the disc and package design also ought to be fired for using such cheap materials in a set they are asking so much for.Anyone thinking of buying this set, i reccommend you either buy one of the TOS non remastered dvd sets or hold off until Paramount hopefully redesigns the discs to have silk screening on the disc tops, otherwise you stand a pretty big chance of going through what I and quite a few others i have read about are going through with the horrible quality of these sets.
