Why not just get Headley?
Well, that's because of that whole "base plot" thing he mentioned... sheesh, get with the picture!^Funny, when they suggested that might be the case whenever Enterprise (with it's Temporal Cold War and the plot point that various factions were altering history to suit themselves) made the occasional minor continuity goof everyone complained.![]()
Why not just get Headley?
I suppose they just want to keep the tv series and the movies separate.
For those of you who were concerned that Lena Headey might be in the Polaroid photo instead of Linda Hamilton, have no fears. When speaking to some people behind the scenes of the film during Comic Con, we were told "Linda is the only way to go to honor the original Terminator films and to tie our films together. We're big fans of The Sarah Connor Chronicles but we're either going with Linda or shooting the actors holding a picture. The audience is smart enough to realize what they are looking at. We just need to contact Linda still."
This quote is over two weeks old now and from what we have heard, Linda has been contacted since then with rumors of her coming back to star in the new film. This is in fact just a rumor as we just got off the phone with Linda Hamilton's agent on Monday, August 11th. The original Sarah Connor star has not been contacted at all for any "Terminator Salvation" offers nor for her rights of her Polaroid to be used in the film. We even asked if Hamilton was contacted to lend her voice for narration. I think it's safe to say Linda will NOT be back. Sarah Connor only lives on through her son, John.
Linda's agent told us it was her belief that Hamilton would need to be paid by WB but the film company has not yet contacted them. "I can't give an answer and until we're approached, we have no idea," she told us before asking us many questions about where all of these rumors came from. Nothing but a rumor.
