Will they create a new Batmobile?

I was thinking once Bruce crashed the lamborgini he'd take the scrap metal from the tumbler and add it. Although in the book the tumbler was fully destroyed so the cops can't trace it back to Lucius or Bruce.

The tumbler was a described as a melding of lamborgini and hummer :)

I never really liked the Tumbler anyway. I find it far more unrealistic than the myriad of traditional Batmobiles.

They'll make Batman more eco-friendly with non-fuel, non-motorized vehicles -- the Bat-skateboard and the Bat-bicycle. Maybe even Bat-rollerblades. And they'll be painted green so we get the point.

Batman could use a Toyota Prius, or maybe a Smart Car. Of course Bats won't seem quite as menacing showing up in either of those cars.
Batman is an evil outlaw now. He has to be seen in a gas guzzling tumbler.

I never really liked the Tumbler, I really hope he gets a new car in the next film.

Plus after the incident where he was nearly exposed by someone who found the Tumber's design I would imagine he will try to distance himself from Wayne Enterprise equipment.

Go the BTAS route and hire a car designer :techman: I'd laugh if bruce picked and choose past batmobiles

bruce- *looks at 89 mobile" it looks okay *looks at Batman and Robins batmobile* what the hell?

I like the tumbler, and would cool with seeing it come back, but it would make sense, as someone else has said, to make a new vehicle that's focused on stealth and (most likely) speed.

Something that transforms from a non-descript car into a Batmobile.

Which is cheesy, but...Bat's on the run, gotta blend in.

It would be interesting if Nolan borrowed a cue from the comics where the batmobile is just some viper with fins or a mustang with fins.

Although I don't think a 4 door sedan with fins or just a sedan would work

They have a spare tumbler.

Do they now? I wonder what makes you say that ... "Batman Begins" describes the Tumbler as being "... built as a bridging vehicle. During combat, two of these would jump over a river, towing cables ... we never could get the damned bridge to work, but this baby works just fine." There's no indication that two Tumblers were built, only that two would be used in combat. The idea that the Tumbler was a lone prototype is reinforced by referring to it in the singular "this baby".

I'm pretty sure there's only one Tumbler.

I think there will be a new Batmobile. I liked the tumbler except for one thing...while driving it Batman was practically leaning forward. It looked awkward and uncomfortable.

Wow...more unrealistic? We must've been watching different movies. Remember the neon batmobile from the Clooney one?

I'd say something between the '89 Bat-vette and the Tumbler is called for. A smaller, leaner, stealthier batmobile, but still retaining some of the industrial/functional shapes.

Ummm. Did you just read what you wrote?

I'll highlight the key points for you:

"During combat two of these would jump over a river..."
"we never could get the dammed bridge to work."

Emphasis mine.

Going by your line of reasoning (that there's only one) the reason why they couldn't get the bridge to work is because they were, apparently, only trying it with one when the process requires two.

This is a bit spoilerish for anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet.

However another Tumbler is fine with me. A new Batman Mobile is always cool of course.

If people are going to cry "spoilers" over finding out the batmobile/tumbler is destroyed then, well, there's no help for them.

Isn't that exactly what showed up in the Gotham Knight DVD? It looked like a direct cross between the Burtonmobile and the tumbler to me.
As for those saying the tumbler is "unrealistic". You do realise it's an actual functioning vehicle, yes? With things like ground clearance, suspension and a turning circle less then a mile wide. Which is more than you can say for the cars from the previous movies! Oh and you don't need to speed up the footage to make it look faster than it really is. ;)

I was about to say the same thing about the Gotham Knights car.

yeah at least this batmobile isn't just a fiberglass frame with 4 wheels and an engine.

I'd like to see the batman returns batmobile try all the things the tumbler did

By more unrealistic, I mean more conspicious. Clooney's Batmobile at least looks like a traditional car, more or less, while the Tumbler looks like the rejected military prototype it is. It's kind of hard for Batman to be stealthy when he drives the equivalent of the Bat-SUV.

Where the fuck have you been driving where Clooney's Batmobile looks (even more or less) like a traditional car?

:wtf:

^ Especially since it glows in the dark. And what the hell was up with Clooney's Bat Turbine? There were four or five flames on both sides of the damn thing! Though I do like the Forever Batmobile.
