Well, I'm on the Angels bandwagon this weekend. In fact, other than 2002, I don't think I've really had any issues with the Angels and that's coming from someone who roots for the A's. I just like the way they play, and have great respect for Mike Socia. They I think turned into the team to beat this year and an Angels/Cubs would series would be awesome.

Oh, Lady Eve...when will you learn? We've had this same discussion for years, and it always ends the same way. The Yankees are our bitches.



Ponson pitched extremely well. So did Santana. Hunter just got a good pitch in the 9th. Luck, more than anything else really.

I've already got what I hoped for, which was a split in NY. 7-1 so far on this swing through the East.

What a lovely 8-2 Yanks/Halos game. Yanks avoid a sweep, God's in Her heaven all's right with the world. Now if A-Rod could hit like that when the game is on the line and not turn into A-Choke...

Angels ahead by 12 games in the West. Unless they do an epic swoon which seems highly unlikely, nobody's going to catch them.

Why have the A's sucked so bad since the All Star Break? First the Giants, now the A's. At least Football season is around the corner.

So how about those Brewers. Not a team that gets talked about much around here but I'm loving that NL Central race right now. Sucks that they got swept by Chicago though. At least they won today.

Jon Lester had a rocky start tonight, but he settled in, 2 Runs in 7 innings, very nice.

Bay with a 3-Run Homer, Youk with 2 2-Run Homers, and Jed Lowrie (Julio who?) had a bases clearing double.

I am liking what I see here. With or without Manny, I am confident in these guys.
