I know, sad isn't it? However, "Back in the day" cameo was really cool.
BTW: If you needed funds (Especially for Transformer Toys) I bet you would do the same thing, I would I'm afraid.

He probably considered it a privilege to get the part, since cameo was hot back then. I don't think he was doing out of a lack of funds. The man had his own damn tv show at the time, don't forget. I'm disappointed that he didn't dance, though. That would have made an awesome animated gif.
