This reminds me of very brash and very young art critics who see some of Picasso's wilder stuff and say, "Are you kiddin' me? I could do that!"
As did most of Australia when our government bought Jackson Pollock's "Blue Poles" in the 70s. It's worth a lot more now.

I'm a school librarian. Have been since 1989. Before that I was an elementary (primary) teacher. I spend a lot of time reading amazing, deceptively simple, kids' picture books that can tell a story with very few words. The level of interplay between the pictures and text is one thing, but how the author selects just the right words to convey a story is a skill that is really hard to emulate. (I know. I've tried.)
So many people boast, "That's so easy, anyone could do it." And again, it's not easy when you actually try and do it.
