I bought the special edition first season of 24 for $16.99 at Best Buy. They're selling every season for $16.99, but the special edition of season one has a $15 off seasons 2-6 coupon on it (for up to a $75 savings), so I got seasons 2-6 for $1.99 a piece.
That is a damn good deal. :D

Yeah, but Fox should have to pay me to watch Seasons 4 and 6 (and half of 5) again. So it still feels like I got ripped off. :p

new swag arrived the other day!

edit: before anybody goes metaphysics bashing, i'm just trying to be open minded about it all... what you don't see is the holographic universe book and brian greene's elegant universe book in my collection as well ^_^

Whoa cyph, Heidegger's Introduction to Metaphysics is heavy stuff but it's very, very, very educational! Have fun!

Lol! I'm trying to consume a book a month, but some of the books can't necessarily be accomplished by my standard "10 pages on the toilet" method... ^o^

Is it heavy? I wonder what post introduction material is like..

Oh, and I know the chronic cough thing. Dallie (our 13 year old black lab mix) loves to pull against the leash. It caused her to start having a bit of breathing trouble. I bought one of those extended leashes that rolls out and back in automatically, and it's helped. She's still precocious and playful at 13. :D

Dallie sounds like a lot of fun. :) I'm also a fan of the extended leash.

I'm not sure about the harness now though. Last night we were "walking" around the lake when he suddenly started limping. I carried him the rest of the way then removed the harness after we got home.

Today he's running around as well as ever. I think I've been played...

Metaphysics and philosophy in general is fascinating. Heidegger, on the other hand, is hardcore. Take your time over it and expect to need to re-read. If this is your first introduction to metaphysics, seriously, choose something - anything - else. It is NOT an introduction, by any normal definition of the word.

(skived off the afternoon of a conference to go shopping in the sales in London today :) )

We bought our first house last night. Close on August 21st. we also found out a week ago yesterday that my wife is pregnant with our first child

Talk about a busy week!!!

I'm building a C&C cage for my guinea pig, Tulip. I've been buying supplies for that, along with the usual - groceries, gasoline, and such.

Just bought a Bushmaster XM15-E2S. Fired about 20 times. Paid $775 for it with 3 bushmaster mags, a decent case, and 500 rounds of ammo.

I am very happy.

Shoes, I will be calling you to show me the finer points of this weapon.

Here is a poor quality picture. If I can stop drooling, I will take better quality pictures.
