Can JJ Abrams learn anything from Stephen Moffat?

Like how to Ruin Tintin and Doctor Who with his creepy crawlies and statues that come to life
Given that I really never had much exposure to Tintin at all and that the movie is showing as being in pre-production, and given that the only Doctor Who episode that I've seen which had Moffat's name associated was quite good, (IMO) I guess I don't really understand what you're getting at here. Care to elaborate/enlighten a little more, for the benefit of those who might be in the same boat as I am?

Edit:

It also appears that spoiler warnings may apply for people in some parts of the world, so do bear that in mind.

:wtf:

I don't think he can enlighten you M'Sharak. There is no link I can see between Abrams and Moffat.

One wonders how he can "ruin" something that isn't out yet.

I believe the OP is talking about the Doctor Who writer Stephen Moffatt. What this has to do with JJ abrams is a mystery to me.

I think they are writers...and both are men. Er...They both have arms and legs?

At least I think they both have arms and legs. :wtf:

Having no idea who Moffat is, I did a quick check on the wiki article. Apparently the man wrote some scripts for the new Dr. Who, which won several Nebulas and Hugos, and were fan-voted as the best episodes. So, now the thread finally... makes... sense... ?

This just seems to be a lame way to bash Moffat and Abrams.

For those wondering, Stephen Moffat is a very accomplished and extremely talented writer for British television.

That much was not difficult to work out.

You may be right, but it's sort of hard to tell.

Since the OP (who also has both arms and legs, presumably) has declined to come back and enlighten the rest of us in greater detail as to what he's on about, I'll just close this.

Guybrushtw, you're welcome to PM me about it, or you could just try it again, with a little more forethought and actual relevance. Thanks for playing. :)
