Those are the two I'm currently on. I suck horribly at driving motorcycles, so I expect to have to replay that one several times. The first one where you were on a motorcycle took me a lot of tries, too.

Not sure if the train one is really that hard. I only did it once, but haven't had the urge to do it again yet. I hope the next GTA game has some sort of mid mission checkpoints. Unless I have a lot of time to play, I haven't even bothered to fire up the game due to the amount of time it might take to get to where the mission actually starts if I fail it. Even with being able to instantly replay it, some of the missions require a lot of travel just to get back to where I might bomb the mission and have to restart yet again.

Not that I've been investing a lot of time in the game. Age of Conan just came out, so most of my time has been spent there lately, plus playing Mythos here and there.

My problem is that I can't easily follow him close enough for the mission to not abort. I can't drive the bikes worth shit so I get a car, but the car isn't always fast enough to "keep up" enough to not abort the mission. But I take from your post that I should be more worried about "keeping up" with him enough for the mission to not end than I am about catching up to him? That the mission is "scripted" to take me to a certian point for a final confrontation?

You don't have to have the vehicle you're chasing be line of sight. Follow on your GPS map, and go down different streets if you have to.

Yeah, for both you don't have to follow too closely. Worry more about the traffic around you and not wiping out. I think the game gives you a "they're getting away" message if you are too far away.

After the motorcycle chase, you'll encounter four bikes... but once you take out one bike, the rest of the bikers will stop and shoot at you.

After the subway chase, the guys get off and come down to the street to go into a car. If you are fast enough, if you can kill them before that happens... otherwise, you'll get a car chase.

OK, it's the big day and am I missing something where's Kate's ma's house? I don't see anything on the map and I don't have the location memorized. ARRRRGGHH!

Finally finished three leaf clover, by not doing what they expected, instead of going up the service ladder in the tunnel, I grabbed the health from there, then carried on down the track to the next station where there were no cops, we made our way to the surface, again, no cops, appart from one cop car, that drove straight past us!

Like the other guy said, I headed to paint and spray in a stolen taxi, but lost the wanted level before I was half way there.

Take a cab. It should be the first location on the meter.

Ahh thanks. Funny thing I got in the cab but it didn't take me there for some reason but now she was highlighted on the map so I could find her. I actually found the house before this tip but it wouldn't let me pick her until I did that despite the call saying to meet her there. Damned game logic.

BTW, she really dresses up nice for the occasion, eh?

FYI, for your first mission for Jimmy Pegorino, you do not want to be doing it in the middle of the night.

^Yes.

Kill Derrick and Francis gives you a one off ability to phone him to get rid of a three star wanted level.

However, killing Francis makes the later mission "Undertaker" a little bit easier as the drive is slightly shorter. I killed Derrick and completed "Undertaker" first time so I say go with killing Derrick.

One off as in can only be used once?

Well I finished the story line part of the game last night and I gotta say, GTA4 is one of the better games I've played lately.

A word of advice for the 360 owners (if it hasn't been said already).
Don't do the side missions during the story line game play if your looking to get the under 30 hrs. achievement.

At this point the only things I have to do is...

Get the rest of Steve's cars (I only have 2)
Get the rest of the flying rats (I have gotten 17)
Finish my races (I've done 11)
Do the rest of the stunt jumps (I have 6 or 8)
Meet the rest of the people (I've met 5)
And the 2-3 dates and however many catching criminals from the police computer there are, if I bother.
I got the 2 police computer achievements but there are still "crimes happing missions", they may be infinite, I don't know.

The point I'm eluding to is..

I'm still looking forward to doing that stuff since I'm having so much fun playing the game.

I'm having so much fun people watching and seeing how many places I can climb on or go into just to see what is there!!

the open world in this game is truly amazing

Why do I need Francis to do that when I have Kiki? I decided to kill Francis, and before I left the roof, I called Kiki to remove the cops. :)

Man, I had a lot of trouble for whatever reason on that last mission. The worst part was having to start all over from the beginning each time when I was only having trouble with the very end, so lonnnnnnnnnnng.

Is it bad that I like my other dates more than Kate? They may be crazy but they're fun AND they put out.

No, she doesn't, come back.

There are other women to date, you need to look around Love Meet and Craplist on the in-game Internet.
