This is the last poll for The Original Series. Over the last weeks the Trek BBS has voted its three favorite episodes. Now it's time to vote the favorite episode of the whole series! The winner will go up against the best episodes of the spin-offs.

My top three are Corbomite Maneuver, Balance of Terror, and Journey to Babel, but I missed the season-by-season pollls, so I picked City.

They are ALL excellent episodes. If I had my way, I'd call all of them best.

BUT, I have to choose one, and in that event, I choose The City on the Edge of Forever. Truly, TOS's best Kirk-Spock episode, and one of the very best episodes of all time.

For me, it has got to be City. The few seconds from when Kirk and Edith emerge out onto the street from the mission to the close up on Kirk after the accident is, IMHO, the greatest scene in all of Star Trek, ever.
