Madden NFL 2000 for the PSX via emulation. Yes, I own the disc. Great to upscale and smooth out the frame rate.

This just hits so hard compared to modern sports games. The gameplay is simpler yet still challenging and fun.

It and the first one are my comfort game for when I'm feeling off with the world. If only Sony would not have been so boneheaded with the online Horizon game and just got to work on part 3 already. But then Sony are great at bonehead decisions.

Horizon Hunters Gathering is utter shite


I just finished Far Cry New Dawn and that's a lovely game with bright colours and environments but really annoying characters and bad guys that were absolutely terrible. Even some of the good guys side characters man I wanted to end them. But you can shoot them and then revive them over and over lol

There are a couple of franchises that have been dormant for a little bit that might benefit from a return...the main 2 for me are Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, as well as Uncharted and Splinter Cell....granted the SC reboot is supposed to be in the works, but given what Ubisoft did with Prince of Persia, can we really affirm that we will get it?

as far as the others, I remember reading one small iota of something that said that something MIGHT be in the works for Ninja Gaiden, but DMC, I have not heard anything, as well as Uncharted...

Well after the fiasco of Metal Gear Survive Konami might stick to remasters of the older games...

I was going to mention that. I didn't catch many reviews when it came out. I hope it's been successful, but it seems like a lot of those older franchises just don't get the hype they used to when they come back.

just read and saw a couple of reviews, they did do the bait and switch, you mostly play as a new character with a playable Ryu sprinkled in on occasion (ala Devil May Cry 4 with Nero/Dante).

I wish it was the other way, as they did with the NG Black series, where it was maybe 80% Ryu and 20% other...

but as far as the gameplay, I guess it stays true to the legacy games....I'll check the price on PSN, if it's worth it, I'll give it a shot.

From the trailers and pre-release stuff I had seen, I don't think it was a secred that Ryu was taking a back seat to the new character. I agree with you, though, I like Ryu being the main guy, with the other characters as fun alternates sprinkled here and there.
