I was just randomly thinking about this and wondered something.Sure but at some point you are stretching this a bit too far and breaking your own internal rules. The Holo states there is about an hour of juice left in the ring and they talk to Kerry, go to the safe, explore the fear planet for a while, get into a small crisis on the boat and finally punch out Sinestro together. Sure the Holo was not active all the time but still.
Just seemed a bit much for 5% that's all and it's a very minor quibble.
They are fucking with us, and I hate them.HBO Max posted this sneak peak for the season finale on X:
For those not on X, the scene takes place in a bar in Rushville after Hal was released from prison. Kerry and Hal are on a date, it seems. Kerry gets up and addresses the other people in the bar. She says she likes him and maybe he deserves the hate but he is trying to make amends and they deserve some peace.

Maybe John kept Halogram materialized like with the bird. So the ring's charge lasted longer because it wasn't the thing sustaining or materializing Halogram all the time.
When they reach the island and John asks Halogram how much charge is left on the ring, he doesn't even answer and just says "maybe you shouldn't have lost the gun." avoiding giving any actual answer about the ring charge.
That whole thing doesn't make sense like any superhero story, gadget or power if you look too closely at it and ask too many questions.
The Ring creates the construct but usually it goes away apparently when you take the ring off with the exception of the few Lanterns who can sustain constructs without a ring. Now how do they do it, are they sending out energy to the construct to keep it in existence and why would it break down if you remove the ring?
Given that we will never get a definitive technical manual on this made up gadget the rules are whatever the writer says they are and it's best to accept that and move on.
I just dashed over here to post that myself. This article about how the effects were created may provide a rather large spoiler:

Wondering what the DCU ramifications are since John Stewart is throwing the gauntlet down and saying he's now in charge of Earth and Guy needs to stop operating on Earth.
Which I find interesting since I feel like Guy Gardner (probably helped immensely by Nathan Fillion playing him) was pretty well received in Superman so replacing him in the DCU (at least in terms of Earth) would seem a bit of a risky move.My guess is it is setting up why John will be the green lantern in Superman Man of Tomorrow instead of Guy.
So wait a minute
How was Noah a Manhunter and somehow his father wasn't? Did the Grandma specifically do something to him to pass her Manhunter-ness to him and not her son?
