All of this is amazing news. I'll be the first with a theory about what KRAD's novel will be about. Whatever happens in Destiny will fracture the Federation, and a mass successionist movement will split in two.
It's actually 'secessionist'. I don't think that will happen, although there has been concerns raised in the "A Time To..." series and the VOY-R about losing member worlds after, if you want fodder for your theory. I hope KRAD's novel is the one that reveals President Bacco to be the changeling from the VOY-R orchastrating both sides of the split in order to reorganize the Federation into the first Galactic Empire! Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman
I checked with Ed Schlesinger, who edits NF, and they're shooting for 2009 for the next novel, but he and Peter are still hashing out the plot outline. Once that's done, it'll be scheduled. There will be. It just hasn't been scheduled yet. Worry not. Also, here are the covers for Greater than the Sum and Kobayashi Maru (mods, these are on my web site, so the hotlinking is kosher): Marco and Margaret asked me to hold off on showing the Destiny: Mere Mortals cover until all three are complete. Finally, having just finished proofreading the pages for A Gutted World, I can assure you that Myriad Universes is on track. The cover art just isn't ready for prime time, yet.
Hmm, well I'm surprised to see that still, that was the one in the Pocket catalogue, and seems to be a reuse of a Ships of the Line piccie. Glad to see some starshipy covers though, I'm not a fan of heads/faces filling up covers.
Possible Rush-themed titles for Vanguard 4... "Open Secrets" seems like it would be very appropriate to the themes of the series. 'A Farewell to Kings'... I could almost have seen that as an alternate title to 'Reap the Whirlwind'... Definitely sounds like a usable title for something in the future, if not this book. Looking through Rush songs... there's tons of titles that would make great book titles. I think Open Secrets is my favourite for a Vanguard book, though. (I'd love to see a 'Main Monkey Business' Star Trek story sometime...)
That sounds like an awesome line-up of titles! I'm particularly looking forward to a collected release of Mere Anarchy, all of the Destiny titles, and (of course) Shards and Shadows, but everything sounds interesting... This sounds very cool. I was pretty diligent about collecting the DC Comics run(s) in the 1990's, but there are still plenty of gaps in my collection, and I'd love to have it all collected together in one (very slim) place like that. I imagine something like this would also help reference sources like Memory Beta, but either way, I'll want to pick this up...
I do love the Starships so. I need to get caught up on my reading, guess it's time to get fired. Can't wait for Destiny and it's aftermath. ncc71877
Certainly great cover art. I guess I'd better read my copy of Day of the Vipers pretty soon to get back in the Trek reading mood.
There's a picture of the cover of Destiny, Book 1 over on Trekweb's main page. It's from that Flickr site and is taken off a slide projector.
Fantastic, can't wait to get into these. So I take it Prez Bacco will be announcing the formation of a grand army of the Federation to deal with the aftermath of Destany?
huh, the GTTS cover's the one on Amazon UK, howabout that? they're using the 'teaser' covers of multi-Picard and multi-Data for MyrUni 1 and 2...
Hot damn! The Destiny cover over at Trekweb looks truly beautiful, even in its grainy, fuzzy, faded-ness. So Picard's on book two's cover, then who's on book one's? Place your bets!

The Greater Than The Sum - cover looks good, I already liked it, when it first apeared in the Pocket Books Promo-catalogue as a grayscale-pic. OK, thats good to hear. Than better hurry up, this board is now officially Destiny-addicted, we need more...!!!!
WooHoo! Freakin' A!!!! Great news that we're finally going to get movement in the Voyager section. Thanks very much. Congrats to Kirsten Beyer, too. I've loved all of her Voyager writings todate
