Something I just learned (and I can't think of any other thread to post it in). This P-51 racing plane, which flew "unlimited" class air races at Reno for years, has been owned by many people over its 80 year life. In 1967 it was purchased by one Robert Cleaves, who asked his friend Gene Roddenberry to design a patriotic paint scheme for it.

I found Tony Franciosa's 1975 Matt Helm series on DVD. Episode 3 "Scavenger's Paradise" guest starred Jason Evers as the bad guy, and gave us a few minutes of John Hoyt in a terrible wig at the beginning before Jason Evers shoots him!

Coincidentally, that series was recently covered in a YouTube channel video about the Top Ten Lowest Rated Shows of the 1974-75 season.
Yeah, I'm only 3 eps in and I can tell it's just another mediocre 70s detective show with standard 70s plots. But it's fun seeing the period actors I've always liked.
Tony Franciosa is kinda bugging me. He does this thing, which he also did in Name of the Game - when he's talking to a young woman, he's very handsy, holding her arm or brushing a lock of hair aside and such. And when he's done talking to her, he boops her nose before turning to leave
. Clearly an acting choice, since he does it in multiple shows. Creepy.
The episode of Cannon we watched last night, "To Kill a Guinea Pig," featured Michael Strong as a scheming and murderous union boss, trying to get Dr. Vera Miles to kill one of his rivals, who was part of her research program.
Matt Helm continues to provide: "The Game of the Century" gives us Logan Ramsey playing to type, as a super-slimy Vegas crime boss rigging a high-stakes poker games using blackmail, kidnapping and murder.
Watched The War Wagon (1967) for lunch today.
