Another beloved 80 year-old icon gone. Curry was just always such fantastic VFM and great to watch or listen to. Not exactly the most subtle actor in the world but who needed subtlety when he was so much fun? He really should’ve been a bigger star and if I’d had my way, he would’ve been the Joker in the 1989 Batman movie. It seems a waste that his only superhero movie is a small role in The Shadow. But we still have Frank, Long John Silver and all the rest. Thanks for the mammaries, as Frank N Furter would say.

He's a major part of my childhood between Clue, The Pagemaster, Home Alone 2, It, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Muppet Treasure Island, Captain Planet, and so much more. He was legendary everywhere. Television, film, animation, theater, even video games. He had that perfect voice and demeanor for everything and I'm so grateful for his many, many roles.

Rest in peace, Tim.

He was the original voice of the Joker in Batman the Animated Series, but was replaced with Hamil for unclear reasons, too scary perhaps.

I, too, grew up with his films. The first I saw him was probably as the wonderfully mustache-twirling Cardinal Richelieu in the 90s remake of The Three Musketeers.

Heard this on the radio on the way back home.
Curry is such a well known face and voice throughout cinema. Ofcourse, RHPS, but I loved his part in Congo and his interaction with Muppets is legendary. Home Alone 2 also springs to mind, and we can never forgot his IT.
