The other shows that air on the same youtube channel range from 13-22 minutes. One of the shows, Kid Cowboy, began with 4 minute shorts like Scouts, before increasing to 13 minutes. Is it possible Scouts will expand, too, if it comes back?
I expected this series to quietly disappear honestly, not get picked up for a second season. They are only 3 minutes long so not a huge resource suck I suppose.
I think it is pretty good for its target audience. Webtoons is starting a new show tomorrow too.
Did it get picked up? I thought it was one of those massive hundred-episode orders kids shows get that end up being aired as two or three seasons.

I am not sure. The article made it seem like it was renewed but you are probably right. TBH this show hasn't been high on my follow list.
The episodes will still be (about?) 3 minutes long, and I presume they'll keep the 10 episodes per theme format.

It's not likely to spawn multiple threads, though - the plots aren't deep and full of nuance, the episodes aren't long, but are formulaic to an extent.

You're basically suggesting an entire subforum for this thread and https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/star-trek-scouts-starships-and-technology-discussion.320059/ . That's permanent space on the homepage for a show that's hasn't even merited a single episode-specific thread and has only averaged around 15 comments per episode. And it probably hasn't even reached 15 comments regarding any specific episode unless you count general discussion about the first two as being about the epic two-part series premiere.
If any show is "missing" a forum it's probably Short Treks, and even that would've been tricky to justify for 10 short-form episodes that mostly tied to Discovery. But at least that one had episode-specific threads.
While it would be an awkward forum, I do think an "Other modern Treks" subforum that covers Scouts, Short Treks, Very Short Treks, and Section 31 (which never should've gotten its own subforum) might be the best bet.

I mean, it might need a rename depending upon what happens in the next few years, but that's better than "modern."
