What is your personal head canon?

Personally I think they'd skip letter I, as well as O, Q, S, X, and Z. Those letters are typically not used in drawing view titles (i.e. View A or Section B-B), and are also not used in drawing revision letters. They're either too similar to numbers, each other, or are reserved for other uses (X).
I can go with that.

Then, in that case, I'm going with...

25th Century
Enterprise-G
Enterprise-H
Enterprise with a New Registry Number
Enterprise with a Second New Registry Number
Enterprise with a Third New Registry Number

26th Century
Enterprise-J

The 24th Century had five Enterprises (B, C, D, E, and F) of varying lengths of service, and at least one 20-year break (between the C and D). So, I'll say the 25th Century also had five Enterprises. Also, of different service lengths and with another extended break in there somewhere.

In my mind: the 23rd Century had four Enterprises. I count the 1701 twice, since the TMP Enterprise is "an almost totally new Enterprise" to quote Decker. Then the Enterprise-A. And the first seven years of the Enterprise-B.

I'm not going to count the Enterprise-F as 25th Century since it was decommissioned in 2401. It was barely there.

I'll call the Enterprise-J the first new Enterprise of the 26th Century, and it doesn't matter when it was commissioned. In my mind, there was a huge gap between the Enterprise-J and the Enterprise before it. In fact, given the scale of the Enterprise-J and how different it is, it's the most radical departure from its predecessors ever.

I think the Enterprise-J is what the Enterprise-D wanted to be: a city in space, except on a starship. And this one's much larger. It wouldn't surprise me if the Enterprise-J had its own Mayor, who would be separate from the Captain.

EDITED TO ADD: And because so much would've gone in making the Enterprise-J, and given how large it is, in my head-canon I think it served MUCH longer than any other Enterprise up to that point. Possibly 50 to 100 years.

There's far, FAR more effort at explaining what the Nexus is than Braga and Moore ever bothered to consider.

It's a terrible idea from an awful film. It doesn't deserve this much thought. If only they'd just gone with a story similar to "Yesterday's Enterprise" since most of the movie audience likley hadn't seen it...

In my head canon the Alpha Centauri colony to which Zefram Cochrane eventually relocates is the second human colony outside the solar system, right after Terra Nova. Cochrane is living there by the 2110s, so that would place its settlement by the end of the 21st or very beginning of the 22nd century.

Not so much headcanon as a possibility:

If Borath is where the Klingons keep their “time crystals” (unrelated to the scientific phenomena we know by that name in 2026), then the real Kahless actually appearing there is technically not entirely impossible. Maybe that’s even why such crystals were brought there, if they don’t occur there naturally.

The monks of Boreth may have wanted to tempt fate and speed up the return of Kahless by locating time crystals near the monasteries and other main settlements on the planet. I like that theory.

The non-canonical comic "The Last Starship", and this is the thread for bringing up such things, establishes an Enterprise of unspecified registry letter being destroyed in The Burn.:(

I'd hate to see a vessel like the J go so in that manner, but such is the nature of tragedy. :(:(

Of course, the best thing about head-canon is that Enterprise could have also been the about-to-be-launched Enterprise-K and the difference is nil. :)

I just double checked and the time crystals are said to be native to Borath.

My head canon about the time crystals, which I may or may not have already stated in this very long thread, is that the time-travel device that Admiral Janeway stole from the Klingons in "Endgame" utilized time-crystal technology.
Also a solid one that I like!

In the Kelvin timeline, Kirk is in a long-term relationship with Gaila. The effects of recent exposure to her pheromones are why he's wanton in some scenes, but normal otherwise.

His line "that's so weird" when she told him that she thinks she loves him was about the feeling of the pheromone influence when she said it.

(I also assume he slept with the twins in Into Darkness while still experiencing the ardency effect of her pheromones. He's otherwise as monogamous as TOS Kirk. She either is, too, or Orions are physio-culturally different.)

It would be a tragedy. I projected that the Enterprise-P would be the one that would be the destroyed, if they had one per century from the 26th Century onward. J for the 26th, K for the 27th, L for the 28th, M for the 29th, N for the 30th, and P for the 31st.

In my head-canon, there hasn't been an Enterprise since The Burn. If they have an Enterprise, it would be Starfleet fully embracing getting back to what they were. So, I could see it happening from 3191 on (DSC Season 5). But I feel like it still hasn't happened yet during the time of SFA.

Most likely, the 32nd Century is the first century in Federation History without an Enterprise at all. Unless Detmer and Owosekun bringing back the ISS Enterprise counts.

The Enterprise-J, in my head canon, still happens by 2550 and looks just like it does in "Azati Prime(ENT)." It's a case of Trek tech that's destined to exist whether or not there's a Delphic Expanse that's overrun most of the Milky Way Galaxy and a war with the Sphere Builders. Same design, same external appearance, same registry and dimensions. Just in an era of peace or, at least, no war with transdimensional aliens who build huge spheres.

Captain Styles from TSFS is the same character as Lt. Stiles from TOS "Balance of Terror". The script and movie credits from STIII simply are a typo. This explains his attitude towards Kirk in the movie

They were the alien builders of big alien balls

So, per SNW’s “The Forgetting”, Rigel VII’s unique atmospheric makeup causes people to lose their long-term memories, right? So by extension, they also must gradually start assimilating into the common culture around them on the planet. Which is deeply male-centered…

So the fateful fight on Rigel VII probably happened when Pike’s landing party had been there a little too long… so in “The Cage”, he was still shaking off the aftereffects — and that’s where his weird-in-2026 comment about not being “used” to a woman on the bridge came from. (There had been before, and would be again, but he was no longer used to it.) It faded, and he got over it.

An imperfect thought spoken aloud; he meant to add "standing where a man once stood for so long". Imagine if your friend moved away and another person moved in. It would seem strange seeing another person, any other person, sitting on your friend's porch swing.
