DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

The Lanterns trailer? Nothing’s wrong with it, unless fanboy rage is your default setting.

But Hal's coat is brown. Browncoats are another show's thing. The color green is off and there's not enough of it. And this Hal is not my Hal. Hal would never go all Superman II on some guy and drop F Bombs all the time!

Completely separate from that a brief commercial online with new footage was posted in last couple days. It shows flashback of when Superman first found Kara on Earth. Also her using heat vision for first time. Best to search for it on Facebook, etc.

This is interesting because this addresses a question I had after Superman. Where does his red, blue, yellow suit come from? Presumably the symbol is Krypton. But we did not see his parents wearing it. Maybe it was hidden under their white robes. But clearly he gives Kara her suit.

It’s interesting how ideas evolve. Originally the suit completely something that was created on Earth. S symbol too. By the Silver Age Ma Kent made the Superman suit from his Kryptonian baby blanket.

I never cared for much later introduction that Jor-El set the full Superman suit with him. What we know of these two parents does not fit their motivations for Kal-El either. Unless this is Clark projecting his own wishes that these bright colorful suits are for the good guys.

Not surprisingly fans of a certain director are already seeing that as an attack on his take on Superman… 😉

Is there a way to turn off that thing in YouTube that puts preview thumbnails of other videos over the last few moments of the video you're watching, thereby irritatingly blocking part of the image?

At least on the YouTube app on my iPad, there is. It’s a “Hide” button in the upper right corner of the video, that appears at the same time as the preview thumbnails. So you can get rid of them as soon as they pop up.

I was hoping more for a settings-menu option that would turn them off by default, and that would work on my smart TV as well as my computer. I don't think I've ever seen a "Hide" button on either of those.

It didn’t used to appear on my app either. It’s a pretty recent addition. As for being able to turn them off in settings, that would certainly be preferable, but the button is better than nothing.

I'm pretty sure the Hide button is pretty new as I only recently noticed it myself. I think I've seen it for both mobile and PC, but I can't check right now to verify.

There must've been enough people complain about the pop-up videos that they gave us at least this. I wouldn't expect a default setting.

As far as TV goes, there is an 'X' directly under the preview. I have a Toshiba Fire TV.

I wonder if subscribers can turn them off permanently.
