Motivational Instagram post: "Discipline is the key! Clean your room! Run a 5K every morning!"
Me: "I'm disabled. I wear ankle braces. I couldn't run a 5K if my life depended upon it."
What irritates me is seeing these motivational posts squawking about how cleaning your room will change your identity (You mean the identity I've built for the past ten years? What identity do I change TO?)
As if cleaning my room will somehow magically give me the answers that I've been seeking for the past ten years.
Even if I WERE to clean my room, I'd still be disabled. I'll still have deformed ankles. I still won't be able to stand for an extended period. I'll still be wearing ankle braces.

I just got home from my mother's memorial service in Rancho Mirage. It was a lovely tribute. My brother put together a slideshow of our mom's life from dozens of photos, many of which I'd never seen before. I also had a chance to meet many of the friends my mom made later in life.

Just my luck. Was listening to Queens of the Stone Age's "Songs for the Deaf" on my phone, with my bluetooth headphones, but needed charging. Have another way to listen to this album tonight.
Same here, I clean my house when I feel like it. I refuse to be a slave for my own home, and why should I? When I rarely get visitors?
