Does anyone think Star Trek Legacy will ever happen?

The only true Spock is the one in my imagination. That's just Science™, y'all.

Sorry, typo.

I meant to say Deadpool & Wolverine (It's early and I haven't had my coffee! )

Deadpool vs. Wolverine was pitched to Marvel FIVE TIMES before it was greenlit.

Rejection doesn't necessarily mean the End forever. It can also mean, "Work on it, come back, and try again."
Nobody is asking them to work on anything or come back. It's just "No."

A cube or two ... Several thousand drones ... Yeah, they could take the island.

New Zealander checking in: and yes, as much as it pains me to admit, can confirm this is prolly correct - although, we’d put up a good fight… and we also have Gandalf, as @Nerys Myk posted. Huzzah! 🧙‍♂️

Marina Sirtis says: "No. Legacy will never happen..."

I heard her say this exact thing on the cruise, along with saying that Legacy will never happen because they aren't going to hire 60-70-somethings as leads. While that's not exactly what Legacy was going to do, just the fact that Sirtis is in the know that there are no plans for this to happen is pretty much the nail in the coffin (if there was any chance to begin with that Legacy was ever going to be a thing.)

Agreed.

The concept of Legacy been misinterpreted as nothing but Berman-era cameos and their nepobaby offspring.

When, at its core, its just trying to finally explore the 25th century.

I've been wondering if the problem with the Legacy concept is that Seven is a captain. And therefore another traditional exploration captain show.

And it's solved by promoting Seven as an admiral with her own ship on the frontier, with a brand new crew (and Sidney & Jack), solving legacy problems from her captaincy on the Ent-G. Instead of legacy problems from TNG/DS9/VOY.

So, Seven would be defending TNG utopia on a TOS-esque frontier, but can also engage in Fenris Ranger action when needed.

This way. all these various TNG & VOY cameos mean they are equals to Seven, instead of checking in on Seven in a parental way.

Raffi becomes the captain, possibly as Seven's successor on the Ent-G, with the crew of nepobabies around her. Making her a mentor to the next Next Generation.

Even Q could pass the baton to Wesley to give Jack lessons, allowing Jack to be the anti-Wesley.

Even something like Seven having therapy sessions with Troi might play better if its implied that there's a history there dating back to Seven's time while commanding the Ent-G.

There are people out there that think Legacy will happen, and that it’s only a matter of time before CBS/Paramount/Skydance will greenlight it because it’s such an awesome idea that will bring in tons of new viewers and make the studio tons of money. I read this kind of stuff on Facebook and Reddit all the time.

Those people are wrong, of course.

We may never get Star Trek: Legacy.

But it's not an impossible dream to hope for a live action spaceship show set after Picard that does some proper Star Trekking while also occasionally picking up the threads left by TNG, DS9, Lower Decks, Prodigy etc. It could even have Seven and Jack as recurring characters...

That’s not how you get new viewers and make money.
