Destin Daniel Cretton told ComicBook.com that he's striving for a new tone for Brand New Day:

“All the creatives involved when I came on board wanted to do something that felt different,” Cretton said. “Of course, it’s still the Spider-Man that everybody loves, but this is a new chapter in his life, and that tonal shift was something that was really exciting to me. It felt really different, and it was an extremely gratifying experience.”

I hope it happens and I like the idea of keeping the Christmas theme. If is inspired by Die Hard I guess they could bring back Star Tower which I guess we last saw in "Thunderbolts." Kate Bishop though is in the McClain role only she is saving his wife and not her romantic interest and he is in the Reginald Vel Johnson role though halfway through the series they end of changing places were he finds himself in the building and she is on the outside having to deal with the DODC which we last saw I believe in Ms. Marvel. Bring back Michael Keaton's character as the bad guy. or Zemo.

Yeah, the lack of Brand New Day is a shock, I would have expected at least a teaser. Are they any big cons before it comes out that they might be saving the trailer for?

So it turns out Sony would have to be the ones paying for it and they never cough up the millions for Superbowl trailers for anything.

No Superbowl trailers for Avengers (not surprising) or Spider-Man (surprising).

i think there will be trailers of avengers 5 and mcu spider man 4 at the super bowl

its most likely that they probley just do not want to spoil the suprises

No there won't be. There's no reason for them to lie about something like this. They're going to want people to watch, so it would be counterproductive for them to say they won't be shown, and then show them anyway.
Like I said in my other post, they're probably just saving them for another event. like the Olympics' Opening Ceremony, or the Oscars.

I cannot imagine there's a lot of cross appeal between the Oscars and a mega-MCU event. Hell, even the MCU and the Olympics feels like an odd pairing. With the Super Bowl at least there's an expectation of massive viewership, not just of the game, but also the commercials (even if that appeal has driven mostly towards YouTube these days).

Perhaps it's possible they just drop trailers on youtube during the superbowl?

It would give a huge views boost as everyone is on youtube looking at new trailers and superbowl commercials, but without having to pay the extreme costs of superbowl commercial airtime.

The four teasers attached to Avatar garnered over a billion views on YouTube without ever once airing on standard television. They may very well decide that they don't need the super bowl. They may very well decide that they don't need the super bowl.

That's been my hope since this announcement. The lack of presence at the Super Bowl for at least Brand New Day doesn't make a lick of sense. The only other thing would be a bigger release for genre films is Comic Con but that's too close to the premiere date for a first trailer.
