Would it be too much to ask to finally give this group of X-Men a happy ending?I wonder if we'll see Xavier die in this one. For the fourth time.![]()

This must be an incredibly difficult time for youIt took a long time to get to a place where I actually like the MCU as an IP, so forgive me for being angry that it's sliding back into being a shitpile.
There's an echo in here but no one wants to listen.
Deaged Josh Brolin confirmedThis theory would line up with other observations and theories.
Well played for the X-Men reference.
Nah, I'm still saying Sadie Sink is Rachel and she's on the run from Doom.Deaged Josh Brolin confirmed
And if the follow the comics then Xavier and Lensherr are also both fathers.Maybe it's just me but I see the movie as maybe already setting up it's theme and it's not just going to be a bunch of cameos. I feel like this movie is going to be about Family with a special emphasis on fatherhood. Rogers and Thor being dads was the main focus of both of their trailers. Franklin Richards I think is going to be a big part of the story and I would not be shocked if Black Panthers son is as well. Plus I think it's been established that Cassie is on the movie and she is Ant-Mans daughter. Also don't be shocked if we see Iron Man's daughter as well. Professor X and Magneto are basically father figure types.
Which is ironic, because it's been the opposite for most people, most people loved it at the beginning and are losing interest now.It took a long time to get to a place where I actually like the MCU as an IP, so forgive me for being angry that it's sliding back into being a shitpile.
I doubt very much that they won't be the original FoXmen, the whole idea behind something like this to revist with familiar characters, and it loses most of the impact if they're not the familiar characters. In an X-Men Universe.
There's no actual evidence that Monica ended up on Earth-100005.
There's also no actual evidence that the XMCU actors who are returning for Doomsday are playing their Earth-10005 characters
The rest of the FoXmen never really got that much of a conclusion to their stories
The first Avengers movie was based on a gimmick. Bring together several superhero characters who have already had their own movie or were already established. Something you might see in a comic book but never before in the movies. If we don't count Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. It does feel desperate but you know as far as desperation acts go it's not so bad of a idea. The movie it makes me think of is Deadpool and Wolverine and that turned out to be a successful and fun movie.
And Captain American 4 didn't bomb, despite all the doom mongering saying otherwise
Agreed 100%. I say that as someone who was disappointed by Brave New World but understands why some people love that film. I say that as someone who largely loved Deadpool & Wolverine but understands why some people hate that film.See, I wouldn't know anymore. Because I stopped giving a shit about what other people think.
"Oh no, the financial numbers say this and that means you need to adapt your opinion depending on what that says."
"Oh no, RT and IMDB show these numbers so others need to adapt their thoughts and feelings about this movie to the general opinion."
Bomb, succes, flop, hit. Fuck that noise. I watch, I like or dislike. That's where it begins and ends for me. What the rest of the world thinks about a movie or a show is not my issue.
The fact that there are people in this topic right now trying to convince others to hate Deadpool 3 because it has what they call fanwank, tells me they only want others to align with them and they have zero interest into letting other people enjoy what they enjoy. I
Seems pretty clear that general audiences want nostalgia.
There's a long history of filmmakers pandering to what they think the audience wants. This does not in any way, shape, or form correspond to quality storytelling, so pointing it out is not in any way, shape, or form a defense of the practice.
Yeah, I'm in no way claiming box office correlates to quality. Thunderbolts was probably my favorite theatrical MCU release since GOTG3. It actually has coherent themes, and had the guts to have a finale where the "bad guy" is not defeated by combat (something not done since Dr. Strange).
That said, Disney is a for-profit company which has made a lot of bad bets on supposed blockbusters in recent years, so I can see why their business interest now is to play it safe.
