I know but I figured they might still recast. Especially since lots of people don't like that show.
The second season is much better than the first.

That said, there are plenty of people who simply didn't watch the show at all.

...either way, I don't think Sink is playing her so I think the point is moot.

Has Typhoid Mary ever had any significant interactions with Spider-Man in the comics? She has always been primarily a Daredevil adversary. Spider-Man's Rogues gallery is deep enough that there's no need to draw from any other sources. Besides, Sony movies should feature the characters that Sony has exclusive access to. Characters that we won't see in a Marvel Studios movie.

I saw someone hypothesizing that Steve's baby is the mom of Star-Lord, making Steve his grandpa. :barf:

They're only saying that because the actress had a bit part in Captain America: The First Avenger as "autograph seeker."

My introduction to the character was in an early 90s issue where her different personalities perplexed and scared Peter, especially since one of them was entangled with Mary-Jane. I'm not sure if I still have the issue but I remember her depiction disturbed me at the time.

But I agree she was never a typical Spidey villain.

That stuff can be annoying but one should never make or avoid stuff just because people might get annoying about it on the Internet.

Bigger picture, as I've discussed in this thread: meaning the negative message Marvel Studios/Disney will send to bring back Evans in any sort of a "Cap" role when Wilson as the new Cap was supposed to be the thing going forward. Marvel Studios will dederve any blowback received from this desperate, socio-politically tonedeaf decision.

I agree the second season was better. I don't know if Sink is playing her either. I am just trying to figure out who could be both a red head and villain.

I just don't see that happening. Evans is just to beloved in the role. I think their would be issues if Wilson stepped down as being Captain America but the idea of having two Captain America's at the same time, I don't think people will see as bad. We have already seen 3 Spider-Man's share the screen.

As said before, just because Sadie has red hair doesn't inherently mean she's playing a redheaded character from the comics. Just like there's gender and race swapping, hair color swapping occurs, too.

I think you're seriously overestimating the general audience's interest in such themes and will be just happy to see Chris Evans. Hell, much of the Marvel fandom will be happy to see him return while also capable of realizing that Sam still does stand on his own.

...unless there's something about the film itself that precludes to Steve's return that directly undermines Sam's character arc. Which, of course, I highly doubt.

I could maybe see them killing Sam but not having him step down as Captain America. I mean their has already been talk of recasting which means getting ride of Sam and sending Evans back to the past and out of the way, again.

(Emphasis mine): This is the crucial point. Two Captain Americans can exist as one and Steve's presence only undermines Sam if Sam were to pass the mantle back to Steve. There's no reality where Steve would accept that.*

*Except the Naziverse, but fuck that shit.

I would be absolutely shocked if that happened and in not in a good way. I cannot see the Russo brothers doing that.

I think the reason I put some stock on the red hair being important in this case is because in those behind the scenes photos of her on the set she had her red hair. I mean they did have her costume covered up but not her hair.

You're missing my point. I'm not denying Sadie will have red hair. I'm denying she's inherently playing a redheaded character from the comics.

Okay I see your point. Makes me wonder though why they would not just have her change her hair color to match that of the comics. Unless of course it is as simple as them thinking Sadie looks more attractive with red hair than as a blonde or whatever color the comic version of the character had.

Kirsten Dunst, who is blonde, played Mary Jane who was a redhead. Bryce Dallas Howard, who is a redhead, played Gwen Stacy who was blonde.
