Off-topic but - my (head canon) retcon/explanation is that the Q were exclusively fighting with the survivors from the Nexus:On the topic of Trelane's machines, we also know that the Q apparently fought the El-Aurians to a stalemate from Picard, a species that aside from being long-lived and sensing temporal changes have no other Q-like abilities, indicating that at one point the Q were a lot weaker or have some weaknesses that the El-Aurians could exploit because everything before this revelation indicated the Q could genocide the El-Aurians if they wanted to (come to think of it, was that Borg assimilation of El-Auria in the 23rd century really just an unfortunate coincidence?)
I ignore the existence of PIC S2.^^That isn't consistent with Picard S2.
And trying to use AI to figure out what actually happened in TOS. I haven't watched every episode of TOS either but I'm certainly not going to rely on today's AI to piece together everything.Your dissections don't hold water, given you never watched the source material from TOS to begin with.
The completionist thing gets me a lot too. However I thought Terrarium was excellentThey doubled down on everything I disliked about the second season, and almost entirely removed what I did like. The standout of the season was Sehlat, but even that was a very by-the-numbers episode and botched its ending.
My impression of the show overall is that the first season held a lot of promise, which the second season started to squander, and the third frittered away. I'm still on board for season four, but at this point the only thing pushing me forward is the scant remainig residual goodwill from S1, and a dumb completionist desire to see all live-action Star Trek.
I thought so too except for the Metron at the end.The completionist thing gets me a lot too. However I thought Terrarium was excellent
That episode easily gets near a 10/10 if you chop out everything related to the Metron... which actually would be easy to do, since it doesn't impact anything else in the narrative.I thought so too except for the Metron at the end.
Yep. My only strike against the episode. Even for Star Trek that was absolutely unnecessary fan service. It took a 10 episode down to 9.5.I thought so too except for the Metron at the end.
<Puts finger on all of the scripts for Season 3>Season was a tad weaker than season 1 and 2, imo, although I can't quite put my finger on it why I felt less enthusiastic about it.

Yeah, there's something going on. Since they're now working on season 5, we'll get what we will get. I hope it's magnificent. Send out some positive waves.<Puts finger on all of the scripts for Season 3>![]()
I mean... It's a streaming show, so I don't think that syndication is a consideration.I'm just wondering how they're going to syndicate 46 episodes.
I have nothing but dread for season four, and am full of hope for season five. Gonna be a real rollercoaster for me to get to the end.![]()
