While AI sucks at least it's gonna put an end to leaked movie photos spoiling a film because nobody will trust anything anymore.Yeah, AI is pretty nifty when done right.
Yeah, but as I expressed in the Davies thread over in the Doctor Who forum, it also further fuels the misinformation discourse to a truly dangerous level. Yeah, entertainment leaks will be ignored but actual news reporting will be seriously damaged. While AI sucks at least it's gonna put an end to leaked movie photos spoiling a film because nobody will trust anything anymore.
Have you met people? While AI sucks at least it's gonna put an end to leaked movie photos spoiling a film because nobody will trust anything anymore.

That reminds me, I read a story that, thanks to UK tax records/laws, someone got a hold of 'Deadpool v Wolverine' budget, and that, instead of the reported budget of $200 million, thanks to the Covid shutdown and rewrites, the actual budget was closer to $600 million, and the film barely made a profit.
It took some digging to get there but here is the Companies House link for the film's production company - https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/14440992/filing-historyLink please? I mean, it's always great that people read stories, but this is how rumors start on the internet.

If you add up the cost of sale row across the various years then the figure of $600m isn't far off (£420m at $1.32 (being lazy with conversion rates) = $554m)
How that all ties in with box office figures and so on is beyond my knowledge but the production cost claimed lines up
Yes - shows c. £55m in "other income" being govt grants and shows c. £28m in tax incentives etc (see page 22 note 7 for detailed breakdown)But does that calculate in all the tax breaks and incentives movie studios are given?
