Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

^ Those packages of crappy wafer cookies that came In pink, white , and brown. I remember thinking they were delicious but adult- me thinks they taste like Styrofoam.

I'm trying to arrange several things for my income and work, in total I had 5 things of my list to do, I've crossed the second thing of that list today. One thing will be for next year, I just hope everything will work out and none of it backfires
Crossed off a third thing, the remaining 2 things will be for next year I think. Also it may be early but I'm going to try to arrange for an internship next year

Today I learned that NBC's cancellation reversal of Remington Steele hurt Stephanie Zimbalist more than Pierce Brosnan (who lost James Bond but later got it again). She had been cast as the female lead in RoboCop and had to give that up.

You don't have to watch the whole 20 minute video if you don't want to, but he's showing North Korea smartphones, which is quite interesting. In the first three minutes of the video, he shows how if you type in South Korea it "autocorrects" to "puppet state," or if you type in Kim Jong Un it automatically bolds, or it warns about how you're supposed to use slang. Also, one brand is named Samtaesung. South Korea's Samsung means "three stars," but North Korea's Samtaesung means "three huge stars."

Driving back from an appointment with my eye doctor, we came upon a nasty wreck on the highway. We saw an ambulance leave and then waited 20 minutes for the wreck to be cleared. It appeared that some black vehicle smashed into a farm tractor that had a disc attachment. We saw the tow truck hauling away a totally mangled unrecognizable car. I don't see how anyone could have survived that crash. (The tractor only had a flat on its left rear tire). Such a horrifying thing to see.

Why do we say "swap out"? To "swap" means to exchange one thing for another. Why the extra word?

For that matter, why do we say "horseback riding"? Why not just "horse riding"? What other part of the horse are you going to sit on?

Kraft American cheese singles.
I still buy that stuff (actually the Kroger store brand, which is at least 33 percent cheaper). Those individually wrapped cheesoid slices are perfect for cheeseburgers or baloney sandwiches on white bread with mayonnaise.

What's a food you loved as a kid but not so much as an adult? For me, I'd go with lasagna.

It just occurred to me, liver and onions.
There was a restaurant in town that made the best liver and onions.
I would order it almost every time we dined out.
Then I found out what liver was, and that was that.
